The Hardin Co. Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals in connection to a home invasion robbery that occurred in January.

All three suspects arrested were charged with aggravated robbery.

The investigation began when Hardin Co. Sheriff’s deputies answered a call that two females were tied and bound, then robbed at gunpoint at a residence on Andover Dr. outside of Silsbee in the evening hours between 8-9 p.m.

According to a report, the two female occupants were tied with duct tape and then forced to open a safe at gun point, where the suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash and guns.

Arrested were Elton Mims Jr., 36, of Port Arthur, Theodore Joseph Hardie, 30, of Port Arthur and Floyd Ray Brown, 36, of Lafayette, La.

Mims is currently in the Jefferson County jail in Beaumont and Brown is currently in the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail, both on separate charges. Both are waiting for transfers to Hardin County for charges on aggravated robbery.

Hardie is currently in the Hardin County jail with bond set at $1 million.
