NOTICE OF PUBLIC SALE

Pursuant to Chapter 59, Texas Property Code, East Texas Self Storage which is located at 246 E. Durdin, Silsbee, Texas 77656 will hold a public auction of property being sold to satisfy a landlord’s lien. Sale will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 246 E. Durdin, Silsbee, Texas 77656.

Property will be sold to highest bidder for cash. Deposit for removal and cleanup may be temporarily required. Seller reserves right to not accept any bid and to withdraw property from sale. Property in each space may be sold item-by-item, in batches, or by the space. Property being sold includes contents in spaces of following tenants.

ADVERTISEMENT TO BID

SILSBEE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

SITEWORK PACKAGE

Silsbee ISD and Gallagher Services invite bids from all interested Subcontractors for the Sitework Package for the New Silsbee Elementary School.  All bids received will be evaluated in accordance with the Texas Education Code in order to obtain the best overall value for Silsbee ISD.  The information below is provided as a general overview of the bidding requirements and procedures and does not replace or supersede any other information contained in the contract documents.  

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:            A pre-bid conference will be held for this project.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Silsbee SD Administration Office located at 415 Highway 327 West, Silsbee, Texas 77656.  Attendance is encouraged by a representative of each firm submitting a bid.

BID TIME/DATE/LOCATION:            Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 may be e-mailed to bids@gallaghertx.com , or faxed to 972-633-0164.

BID SECURITY:            Bid security (bid bonds) will not be required on this project.  However, Gallagher Services reserves the right to require bid security from any subcontractor to ensure that their bid remains valid for sufficient time between bid submission and contract finalization.

BID EVALUATION:            In accordance with the Texas Education Code, bids will NOT be opened publicly and will NOT be disclosed to anyone other than members of the project team (Silsbee ISD, Claycomb Associates Architects, Gallagher Services).  The bids will be reviewed and ranked by the team to determine the best value for the District using ranking criteria similar to that used for selection of the Construction Manager at Risk.  Bid tabulations will be made available seven days after the GMP is approved by Silsbee ISD or the date that the contract for each trade is executed, whichever is later, as required by the Texas Education Code.  All requests for bid tabulations should be sent to Gallagher Services via e-mail to Jeff Fisher (jeff@gallaghertx.com).

BONDS:            Performance and Payment Bonds WILL be required of any Subcontractor awarded a contract of $100,000 or more.  The cost of these bonds SHALL be included in the base bid.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:            General Liability, Automobile, Workers Compensation, Excess Liability and other insurance WILL be required of each Subcontractor performing work on the project, WITHOUT EXCEPTION.  Refer to the contract documents for insurance requirements.  All cost of required insurance coverages and endorsements SHALL be included in the base bid.

BID DOCUMENTS:            A CD containing a complete set of bid documents may be obtained free of charge by contacting Jeff Fisher at Gallagher Services via phone (888-422-1882), fax (972-633-0164) or e-mail (jeff@gallaghertx.com).  All bids shall be based on a complete set of bid documents and a thorough review of the site.  All bidders shall visit the site where the work is to be performed and become familiar with local conditions as they might in any way affect the cost and/or execution of the Work to be bid. Addenda will be posted on Gallagher Services website, www.gallaghertx.com.  Contract documents will also be furnished to area plan rooms.

QUESTIONS:            All questions shall be submitted in writing to Gallagher Services, Attn: Jeff Fisher via fax (972-633-0164) or e-mail (jeff@gallaghertx.com) and shall be received no later than 4:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2014 to allow adequate time to respond.  NO answers will be binding unless confirmed by an addendum to the contract documents.

SCHEDULE:            This project is scheduled to commence in June 2014 and sitework is scheduled to be completed no later than September 2014.

PERMITS & FEES:            ALL bidders shall include the costs of all permits and fees required for their scope of work in the base bid.

SALES TAXES:            This project is exempt from sales taxes, DO NOT include sales taxes in the base bid.  Refer to the contract documents for details.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES:            Payment applications will be due to Gallagher Services on the 4th of each month and will be paid promptly upon receipt of funds from the Owner.

CONTRACT FORM:            The delivery method for this project is Construction Manager at Risk.  This method requires that all contracts to subcontractors and material suppliers be with Gallagher Services.  We will use our standard form of agreement, a copy of which is included in the contract documents. Modifications in any way to the standard form of agreement will NOT be allowed.
