Elgie McGallion

Elgie Lynn McGallion, 54, of Kirbyville, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Christus Hospital in Jasper of cancer. A memorial service was Saturday, August 16 at New Hope Church inWarren under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. He was a longtime resident of Dam B before moving to Kirbyville three years ago. He worked in construction for TY Metal. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Paula Jean Eason McGallion of Kirbyville; sons, Sam McGallion and wife Nicole and ElgieMcGallion and wife Aimee, all of Kirbyville; daughtes, Lanita Stanley and husband Greg of Vidor and CrystalMcKee and husband Steve of Silsbee; brothers, Merlon McGallion and wife Linda of Fred, Reverend Welton McGallion and wife Donna of Silsbee and Elvis McGallion and wife Lisa of Evadale; sisters, Ruby Cravey and RuthieYawn, both of Fred, Shirley Winkle of Spurger, Nita Green and husbandAndy of Fred, and Peggy Sharp and husband Felix of Onalaska; and nine grandchildren.

Leon Odom

Leon Pleas Odom, 71, of Fred, died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care. A graveside service was held Friday, August 15 at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Honey Island, he was a longtime resident of Fred. Survivors include brothers, Teddy Ray Odom and wife Carla, Roger Dale Odom and wife Shirley, all of Fred and Don Odom and wife Linda of Port Arthur; sisters, Vonita Mouton and husband James of Newton, Cordie Delcambre of Fred, June Cabiness and husband Dave of Livingston, Betty Gilchriest and husband Arthur of Fred, Phyllis Willis and husband Tim of Zavalla and Catherine Johnson of Silsbee; and half-sister, Lillian Lynch of San Augustine.

Jerry Byrd

Jerry Lynn Byrd, 74, of Bronson, died Sunday,August 10, 2014 at his home. Funeral service was Wednesday, August 13 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton with burial following in Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Anative of Saratoga, he was a longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Lake Sam Rayburn in 1998. He worked as a pre-planner at Dupont in Orange for 33 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Brenda Byrd of Bronson; son, Tracy Byrd and wife Michelle of Beaumont; daughter, Debbie Eitel and husband Lance Sr. of Bullard; brother, Everett Byrd and wife Lorraine of Vidor; sisters, Erma Fregia of Saratoga and Myrt Hudson and husband Frank of Vidor; and seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Trevor Riddick Sr.

Funeral services for Trevor James Riddick Sr., 27, of Fred were at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Community Baptist Church in Spurger, under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Interment followed in Fred Community Cemetery. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Mr. Riddick died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 after an accident in Village Mills. A native of Beaumont, Trevor was a life time resident of Fred. He was an ironworker for Pro Steel Buildings. Trevor was full of life, making everyone around him laugh and was a loving son, husband, father and brother. He is preceded in death by his father, Matthew “Bodge” Eason; and grandmother, Louise Riddick. Trevor is survived by his parents, Richard Riddick of Fred and Jean McQueary Cheshire and husband Robert Earl of Fred; wife, Laura Chambers Riddick of Fred; sons, Trevor James Riddick Jr.

Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Biscamp passed away Wednesday,August 6, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Anative of Little Rock,AR, Melva was a long time resident of Silsbee. She graduated fromSilsbee High School and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Before retiring, she worked as a manager for McDonald’s. Mrs. Biscamp is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Oma Lee Eilers; husband, Billy K. Biscamp; son, Edward Earl Biscamp and sonin- law, Marvin Segrest. Survivors include son, Leland K.
