C.R. Jackson

C.R. Jackson, 74, of Spurger, diedWednesday,May 14, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Sunday, May 18 at Good Samaritan Fellowship Church in Fred under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following Good Samaritan Fellowship Cemetery, also in Fred. He had lived in the area since 1990 and was a retired pipefitter. Survivors include his children, Sandra Jackson of Lenexa, Kansas, Michael Jackson and wife Debbie ofWindsor Heights, Iowa, Patrick Jackson and wife Kim of Kansas City, Missouri, Adrian Jackson and wifeAutumn of Portland Oregon, Sarah Jackson ofArlington, Nathan Jackson of College Station, Joshua Jackson of Lumberton, Aura Jackson of LaGrange, Illinois, Faith Jackson of Silsbee, and Micah Jackson of Lumberton; brother, Benjamin Jackson and wife Barbara of Scott City, Missouri; sisters, Barbara Akin and husband Billy and Brenda Jackson of Counts, Tennessee; and 14 grandchildren.

Joseph Perkins

Joseph David Perkins, 64, of Lumberton, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Beaumont. Funeral service was Tuesday, May 20 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Perkins; daughter, Tonya Ortiz and husband Joel; sons, Ryan Perkins and wife Nacona and Robert Perkins and wife Carrie; sisters, Barbara Perkins and Penny Bickham and husband Shane; brother, George Perkins and wife Bobbie; mother-in-law, Frances Reeves; and four grandchildren.

Dixie Lacy

Dixie Lee Yvonne Lacy, 86, of Kountze, died Thursday,May 15, 2014 at Baptist Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 25 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Topeka, Kansas and a longtime resident of Kountze, she worked forApache and Texas Thermal Weld as a bookkeeper for many years. Survivors include her sons, David Leroy Lacy of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Robert Wayne Lacy of Princeton, Louisiana and James Michael Lacy and wife Cricket of Kountze; and three grandchildren.

Kendall Broom

Kendall Broom, infant son of Stefani Rosenbaum Broom and Ely Broom of Lumberton, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Survivors other than his parents include brothers, Braylan Broom, Preston Broom and Caleb Preston; sister, Maddelyn Broom; and grandparents, Clovie Broom of Port Neches, Lori and Billy Bonner of Jasper and Tito Rosenbaum Jr. of Corpus Christi. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont.

Franklin Fielder

Franklin 'Butch' Reeves Fielder, 58, died in Graham, TX on May 18, 2014. He was born February 19, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He resided at Toledo Bend at this time. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Reeves Fielder; sons, Joshua and Jerry Frank Fielder; daughter, Ethel AileenMitchell and 'brother' and lifelong friend, Marvin Segrest. Butch is survived by his wife, Kelly Alford Fielder; son, Butch Alan Fielder; step-daughter, Angie Nicole Clinard; brothers, Douglas and David Fielder; sister, Sharon Stark and seven grandchildren, Jackie, Josh, Jordan, Van, Kahli, Joseph and Sarah. He also leaves many, many friends behind. Butch never met a 'stranger' and if he called you "friend", it was for life! He loved to fish and was an avid outdoorsman. He also loved his wife, children, grandchildren and all his family. Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 12 noon at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Center.

Wallace Neumann

Wallace Roger “Wally” Neumann, 87, of Wildwood, died Monday, May 19, 2014. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22 at Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze with burial following in VillageMills Cemetery in Village Mills. A native of Wolcottville, Indiana, he was a United StatesArmy World War II veteran. He retired from Lockheed-Martin at NASA as an electrical engineer and he had worked on the space station and the space shuttle, and balloon research project. His career also included his work on the Strategic Air Command in Massachusetts. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Katie Neumann; sons, Barry Neumann and wifeAndrea of Humble and Brian Neumann and wife Tammy of Wildwood; brother, James Neumann ofWolcottville, Indiana; and one grandchild.

Wilma Harrison

Funeral services for Wilma Evelyn Harrison, 85, of Silsbee, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Harrison passed away May 10, 2014 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home. A native of Douglas TX, Wilma was a long time resident of this area. She worked for Jay's Five & Dime Store and J & H Café before retiring. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Woodrow Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen Elijah and Ruth Fussell Yates; husband, Carl E. Harrison; sons, Ricky G. Harrison and Donnie O. Harrison; five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include sons, Steven E. Harrison of Orange, Jerry D. Harrison and wife Julie of Kountze and Bruce W. Harrison of Lumberton; daughter, Doris E. Biscamp and husband Robert of Silsbee; sixteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and twelve great, great grandchildren.

Venus Eason Anderson, 66, of Pineland, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home. A memorial service was held Tuesday,May 13 at the Chapel In The Pines Church in Fred. A native and former longtime resident of Fred, she had lived in Pineland the past 20 years. She was a housewife. Survivors include her husband, Laiel Anderson of Pineland; daughter, Kathy Garsee of Fred; stepdaughter, Tina Smith of Silsbee; stepson, James Anderson of Pineland; sister, Mickey Graham of Louisiana; brothers, James Eason and Leslie Eason, both of Fred; and 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Janice Lee Hansel, 56, of Wildwood, died Sunday,May 11, 2014. Survivors include her husband, Phillip Sand Hansel II; son, Zachary Sand Hansel of Beaumont; and brothers, Donald Golden and wife Kathy and Terry Golden and wife Lynette, all of Richmond. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze.
