Thearline Hobbs

Thearline Hobbs, 74, died after a battle with cancer at her home Monday, July 28, 2014. Funeral service was Thursday, July 31 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home with burial following in Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roger Hobbs; daughters, Cheryl Gore, Brenda Smith and husband Terry, and Donna Hobbs, all of Kountze; brother, Morgan Eugene Powell of Lumberton; and seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Patrick Michael Cairl, 71, died July 30, 2014. Funeral service was Friday, August 1 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton with burial following in Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Survivors include his wife, Merna Cairl of Lumberton; daughter, Patricia Cairl; and brother, Ralph Cairl of Toledo, Ohio.

David Moore

David Allen Moore, 47, of Jasper, died Monday, July 28, 2014 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Visitation was Sunday, August 3 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Watervliet, Michigan, he was a truck driver. Survivors include his mother, Winnie Boyer; sons, Zachary and Gabriel Moore; sisters, Regina Tibbs, Gwen Derrick, and Cindy Moore; and brothers, Rick Moore, Alvin Moore and Wendell Moore.

Funeral services for Norman Lewis West, 61, of Evadale will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. West passed away August 5, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Leesville, Louisiana, Norman was a lifelong resident of Evadale. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp during the VietnamWar. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Cecilia LitherlandWest. Survivors include his sons, Matthew West of Lumberton, Ryan West of Lumberton and KeithWest ofVidor; daughter, Rebecca Ann Miller of Silsbee; brothers, James West of Evadale and Brian West of Eagle Pass; siste,r Joan West of Evadale and grandchildren McKenzie West, Marissa West, Keaton West, Kade West and GavinWest.

Chlotilde J. Jackson, 79, of Saratoga, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Kountze Nursing Home. Survivors include her daughters, LuAnn Brown and husband Johnny of Saratoga and Connie Jackson of Kountze; brothers, Leon Simmons Jr. of Saratoga and Billy Simmons and wife Laverne of Long Beach, California; sister, Betty Lawrence of Marlin; and two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Linda Roberts

Funeral services for Linda Roberts, 69, of Silsbee, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday,August 8, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Roberts passed away August 4, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. A native of New Willard and a lifetime resident of Silsbee, Linda was a retired clerk from Wal-Mart. She was a loving daughter, mother, and sister. Survivors include her son, Stephen Michael Roberts of Silsbee; brother, Richard Roberts of Silsbee; sisters, Anita Schee of Silsbee, Nicky Remedies of Porter, Tootsie Jordan and husband Don of Kountze, Larue Williams and husband Donald of Silsbee andAlice Barnes and husband Eddie of Huffman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William Archie Parks

William Archie Parks, of Lake Limestone, passed away at Providence Health Center in Waco on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at age 84. Services will be held at 10:00A.M. on Friday,August 1, 2014, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Johnny Layton officiating. Burial will follow in Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will beWilliam (Chad) Parks, B.J. Rudder, Brent Rudder, Cody Langley, Keith Thompson, and Greg Thompson. Archie was born in Silsbee, where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 through 1952, in North and South Korea, as Master Sgt. Archie worked 32-1/2 years for Shell Chemical in Deer Park. Archie and wife Jimmie moved to Lake Limestone in 1986 and she preceded him in death.

Thelma Castolenia, 91, of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her home. Funeral service was Tuesday, July 29 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. Anative of San Diego, California and a longtime resident of this area, she was a homemaker. Survivors include son, Robert David and wife Ruby of Beaumont; daughters, Barbara Mitchell and Frances Bentley and husband Craig Kelley, all of Silsbee; brother, William “Bill” Billingsley of San Diego, California; and 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren  and numerous great great-grandchildren.

Gordon McDonald

Funeral services for Gordon McDonald, 82, of Kountze will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday August 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Kountze with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday July 31, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Mr.McDonald died July 27, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Gordon was born in Port Neches and was a longtime resident of Kountze. He owned and operated Kountze Pharmacy for 40 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ella McElroy McDonald; and a brother, Doug McDonald. Survivors include wife, Marilyn McDonald of Kountze; son, Sean McDonald of Kountze; daughter, Heather McDonald of Houston; and grandchildren, Zoey McDonald, Lilly McDonald, and Jaydon McDonald.

Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Patrick passed away July 27, 2014 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Jerry was a native of Bessmay and a resident of Orange. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Becky Patrick of Orange; son, Donald Ray Patrick of Orange; daughter, Debra Sue Beall of Logansport, Indiana; brother, Jackie Patrick and wifeMary of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren,Austin Patrick, Breanna Patrick and Leah Patrick; nephews Malcolm Patrick and wife Julie, LeRoy Patrick, Jr. as well as several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
