Henry Pickering

Henry Pickering, 82, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, ay 27, 2015 at his home. Funeral service was Saturday, May 30 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs. Anative of Kirbyville and a longtime resident of Lumberton, he was a retired painter and was a member of the Lumberton Lions Club for over 30 years. He also helped develop the Village Creek State Park. Survivors include sons, Gene Pickering of Lumberton and John Pickering of Gravette, Arkansas; daughters, Margaret Williams of Lumberton, Ellen Burge of Silsbee and Nancy Justice of Lumberton; sister, Vondell ewton of Rose City; and 16 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren.

Janet Lee Payne, 57, of Lumberton, died Thursday, May 28, 2015. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Payne of Lumberton; son, Travis Gonzalezof Logan, Utah; daughters, Jamie Weaver and husband Justin of Cokeville,Wyoming and Lindsey Davis and husband Cody of Logan, Utah; brother, Larry Miller of Cokeville, Wyoming; sister, Judy Andrews of Logan, Utah; and seven grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.

Alvin Randall Deville

A graveside service for Alvin Randall Deville, 61, of Lumberton was at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot, Louisiana. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday May 22, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home. Mr. Deville passed away at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital on May 21, 2015. He was a native of Bunkie, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Lumberton. He worked as a blacksmith for many years and also as a security guard. Alvin is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Leo Deville. Survivors include his mother, Una Mae Richard Deville; sister, Gay Nell Deville; niece Kayla Deville; and special little buddy, Grey Surratt all of Lumberton.

Martha LaPrelle Tiner

Martha LaPrelle Tiner, 80, of Lumberton, died Monday, May 25, 2015. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park
in Beaumont. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 27) at the funeral home. A native of San Augustine County, she was a homemaker and a longtime member of Parkway Life Church in umberton. Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Brooks and husband Stoney Sr. of Lumberton and Gwendolyn Vassar and husband Harold of Sour Lake; siblings, James Price and wife Ruth, L.D. Price, Patricia Price, Brenda Waldon and husband Gerald Sr., and Charles Price and wife Verna, all of Lumberton; and six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

James Daniel Travis Jr.

James Daniel Travis Jr., 65 of Silsbee, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, he was a retired salesman in the electrical industry. Survivors include his children, Sylinthia Wilson and husband David McGary of Silsbee, Margaret Ann Sobin and husband Mike of Louisville, Kentucky, Sandra Barnes and husband Kirk of Silsbee, and Claudia Parks of Virginia; sister, Rebecca Dawn Smith of Fort Worth; brother, William Greene Travis and wife Alice of Mississippi; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee.

Mona B. Sanford Fullingim Parks, 76, of Silsbee, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at First United Methodist Church in Silsbee.
A native of Port Arthur and a longtime resident of Silsbee, she was a retired nurse, homemaker, and private duty nursing. Survivors include her daughters, Renee Wood of Silsbee and Rita Richards and husband Greg of Buna; brother, Doug Fullingim of Paris, Texas and Cil Brander of Jasper; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Joy Ruth Brumley; daughter, Donna Harris and husband Ed of Silsbee; sons, Jack Brumley Jr. and wife Angie of Beaumont, Richard Brumley of Silsbee, Larry Brumley and Ronnie Brumley and wife, Kathy, all of Beaumont; brother, John Brumley of Beaumont; 15 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren.

Joseph “Joe” Leonard Key

Joseph “Joe” Leonard Key, 78, of Warren, passed quietly at his home inWarren with his son, Jody and Kay Daniels at his side, on Friday, May 16, 2015. He was born on July 16, 1936, to Freddie Hazel Bland Key and King David Key. Joe served his country in the United States Army and later worked as a machinist. Joe was a strong, brilliant man who started Beaumont MachineWorks and built it to what it was when he retired in 2003. He renovated and lived in a barn in Silsbee until 2012 when he moved toWarren for care purposes. Joe suffered with Alzheimer’s since 2009 and was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. His last years

International formerly DuPont, where he worked for 37 years. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Betty Surowiec; daughters, Tonya Arceneaux and husband Frank of Cedar Park, Shawn Gill and husband
Greg of Bullard and Heather Schindewolf and husband Wade of Spring; sons, Tony Wiedman of Beaumont and Michael Surowiec and wife Kaci of Conroe; sister, Lisa Polk and husband Tommy of Houston; and ten grandchildren.
