Randy Smith

Randy James Smith, 53, of Vidor, died Saturday, April 19, 2014. Funeral service was Thursday, April 24 at Turning Point Church in Vidor under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton with burial following in Restlawn Cemetery. Born in Beaumont, he was a carpenter by trade. Survivors include his daughter, Stormy Smith of Lumberton; sons, Dillon Smith and wife Patricia and Jake Smith and wife Meagan, all of Vidor; mother, Delores Smith of Vidor; sister, Penny Bond and husband Casey of Vidor; brothers, Steven Smith and Donnie “Butter” Smith, both of Vidor; and seven grandchildren.

Bruce Ard

Bruce Robert “Fox Hunter” Ard, 65, of Silsbee, died Sunday, April 27, 2014. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday,April 30) at Caney HeadAssembly of God Church in Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, also in Silsbee with burial following in Cunningham Cemetery. A native of Hardin County, he was a truck driver for David Hatton Logging. Survivors include his wife, Doretha Ard; sons, John Albert Ard and wife Missy, Robert Mitchell Ard, Claude Ard and wife Jesseca, and Joseph “Jo Jo” Ard; and six grandchildren.

Arthur Hill

Arthur G. Hill, 86, of Warren, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville. A memorial service was held Saturday,April 26 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont.Afamily committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, also in Beaumont. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he was a United States Navy veteran having served in WorldWar II. Survivors include his wife, June K. Hill ofWarren; daughter, Cindy Mason and husband Lynn of Lumberton; brothers and sisters, LouAnn Hill, Francis “Smitty” Hill, Barbara Trahan, Vernon Hill, Richard Hill, and Glenn Hill; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Robert Earl “Bobby”Avery Jr., 57, of Lumberton, died Monday, April 21, 2014. A memorial service was held Thursday,April 24 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont. Born in Port Neches, he was a refit mechanic for Gerdau. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Avery; daughter, Amy Wilken and husband Thomas; brothers, John Avery and Randy Avery; sister, RamonaAvery; and two grandchildren.

Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont.

Wanda Hardy

Wanda Fay Hardy, 80, of Silsbee and formerly of Slocum died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care Center in Silsbee. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine with burial following in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Roy Loftin of Buna, Chris Lamey, Jason Lamey and Justin Lamey, all of Silsbee and Brian Thorton and Brandon Thorton. A native of Tennessee Colony, she was a housewife. Survivors include her sons, Kevin Hardy and wife Lisa of Silsbee and Lynn Thorton and wife Sharon of Campti, Louisiana; sisters, Evelyn Bristo of Texas City, Earline Hancock of Onalaska and Sue McGill of Palestine; brothers, W.J. Ingram of Tennessee Colony and TomIngram of Elgin; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Bobby Lynn Adams, 72, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday,April 25 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, also in Beaumont. A native of Vidor and a longtime resident of the area, he was a United States Army veteran and had worked 12 years for the BeaumontWater Department. Survivors include his wife, Clair Adams of Lumberton; son, John Adams and wife Angelique of Beaumont; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ralph Osborne

Ralph R. “Ozzie” Osborne, 65, of Orangefield, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Tuesday, April 22 at Bridge Point Fellowship in Bridge City with burial following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. A native of Port Neches, he was a peace officer having retired from Hardin and Orange County Sheriff’s Department and worked for many years as a DJ. He was currently a peace office for Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. He was a Shriner and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a United StatesAir Force Vietnam veteran. Survivors include his wife, Norma Osborne; son, Ralph Osborne II and wife Shanna; daughters, Stacie Osborne, Shan Myers and husband Hoyt and Kelli Houghton and husband Daniel II; siblings, Mollie Osborne, Larry Osborne, Freida DeLaney, and Doyle Osborne; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
