Billy Davis

Billy Davis, 77, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 in Sugar Land. Funeral service was Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. A native of Dewyville, he worked for the highway department 18 years and later retired from Mead Westvaco, as an operator, after 28 years there. Survivors include his son, Wade Davis and wife Diane of Silsbee; sister, Cindy Neie and husband Ray of San Augustine; and brother, John Davis of Vidor.

Bobby Adams

A memorial service for Bobby Lynn Adams, 69, of Vidor will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the family’s residence under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Mr. Adams died December 8, 2014 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Vidor, Bobby worked as a welder before retiring. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Dorothy Garner Adams. Survivors include his wife, Jo Adams of Vidor; daughter, AmandaAdams of Vidor; and grandchildren, Lucas and Mason Adams.

Tommy Fore, 79, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Silsbee. Funeral service was at 10:30 today (Wednesday, December 10) at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. Survivors include his wife, Myrtie Fore of Silsbee; daughter, Janie Beatrice Fore Price of Lumberton; sons, Tommy Ray Fore and wife Patricia of Eustace and George Edward Fore and wife Elisha of Kountze, William Andy Fore and wife Molly of Groves, and John Lester Fore and wife Mary of Silsbee; sister, Frances Gandy of Ivanhoe; brothers, Jerry Fore and Bob Fore; and half-brother, Woodrow Fore; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lori Crysel

Funeral services for Lori Colleen Crysel, 59, of Silsbee were at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Michaels Orthodox Church in Beaumont under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Cunningham Cemetery, also in Silsbee. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Crysel passed away December 4, 2014 at her residence in Silsbee. Lori was a native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of this area. She was a homemaker. She is preceeded in death by her parents, Hubert and Betty Moore; and son, Gary Wortman. Survivors include husband, Perry Crysel of Silsbee; daughter, Elizabeth Wortman of Silsbee; son, Christopher Wilkinson of North Carolina; and grandchildren Michaela Colleen Graham, Abbigayle Lynn Wortman and Opal Wilkinson.

James Moody, 69, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Beaumont. Funeral service was Tuesday, December 9 at Faith Tabernacle in Kountze under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton with burial following in Holland Cemetery in Kountze. A native of Evergreen, Alabama, he was a self-employed home builder for over 30 years. Survivors include his daughter, Kim Bock and husband Casey of Vidor; sisters, Patsy Chojnacki of Summick, Illinois, Virginia Shivers of Wiggins,Mississippi and Jimmie Coker and husband Clifford “John” of Opelika, Alabama; brothers, Bobby Moody of Point A, Alabama and Johnny Moody of Kountze; and two grandchildren.

Joel Daniel “Danny” Love Jr., 59, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home. A graveside service was Thursday, December 4 at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home, also in Silsbee. A native of Crowley, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Silsbee, he worked as a chemical engineer. Survivors include his wife Cheryl Love of Silsbee; mother, Margaret Love; son, Joel Daniel “Joey” Love III of Austin; stepson, Scott Allen Register of Huntsville, Alabama; daughters, Jennifer Love McGee and husband Gavin of Houston and Danielle Love Bates and husband Stephen of Lumberton; stepdaughter, Julie Kessler of Eilson AFB, Alaska; sister, Deborah Gillard of Many, Louisiana; and five grandchildren.

Dorothy Jean Mitchell, 74, of Hillister, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at her home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. She had worked at the Tyler County Hospital inWoodville over 20 years, working from housekeeper to a ward clerk. Survivors include sons, Bruce Mitchell and Gary “Beau” Mitchell, both of Hillister and Richard Earl Mitchell of Lufkin; daughters, Cathy Henry, Linda Jones, and Denise Stevens, all of Hillister; and 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
