Ramzie Redd

Ramzie Elwood Redd, 20, of Silsbee, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont after a long illness. Survivors include his father, Ramzie Millard Redd of Orange; mother, Stacy LeAnn Hester of Silsbee; and sisters, Tasha Hester of Arizona and Megan Redd of Silsbee. Willia Beatty

Willia Beatty, 87, formerly of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at College Street Nursing Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Silsbee with burial following in Kirby Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and Saturday from 9am-11p.m at the church. Survivors include her daughters, Gloria McCray of San Jose, California and Karla Bullock and husband Carey of Beaumont; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Doyle Bridgers

Amemorial service for Doyle Blair Bridgers, 57, of China was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 09, 2015 at Praise Christian Center in Beaumont with interment following at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Mr. Bridgers passed away July 6, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Blair was a native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of China. He was a 1976 graduate of Forest Park High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Blair is preceded in death by parents, Rodney and Carlene Hinote Bridgers. Survivors include his son, Joel Bridgers and wife Mandi of Lumberton; daughter, Holly Mireles of Beaumont; brothers, Rodney Bridgers Jr. and Parry Bridgers; sisters, Lisa Ogle and Laurie Bridgers, both of Port Neches; and four grandchildren Jacob, Dylan, Dayne and Ella. Blair will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael Woodard

Michael L. Woodard, 57, passed away at his home on July 11, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on Feb. 11, 1958, in Monahans, Texas to Harley and Shirley Woodard. At age four, the family moved to Arlington, Ohio, where he grew up. After his junior year of high school, the family relocated to Arizona, where he graduated from Coolidge High School in Coolidge, AZ. Mike returned to West Texas and went to work for Rowan Drilling Company, now Rowan Companies, Inc. He began his career with Rowan as a roustabout and worked his way through the ranks to Offshore Installation Manager, which he attained in 2005. Under his co-leadership, his offshore rig was named Rig of the Quarter for the Americas for the fourth quarter of 2014 and Rig of the Year for the Americas for 2014.

Floyd Thomas, 61, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at the Anchor Church in Beaumont with burial following in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of J.B. Coleman Memorial Mortuary in Silsbee. A native of Jasper, he was employed with MeadWestvaco in Evadale for many years. Survivors include his mother, Mary Brown of Beaumont; son, Phillip Thomas of Beaumont; daughter, Heather Thomas of Beaumont; brothers, Alvin Brown of Houston, Alfred Brown of Montgomery, Michael Brown and Keith Brown, both of Houston, Mitchell Brown Jr. and Joseph Thomas, both of Woodville and Kenneth Brown of Beaumont; sisters, Helen Marie Mayberry of Phoenix, Arizona, Melinda Brown and Patashia Brown, both of Houston, Doris Hunt, Bettie Brown and Bobbie Brown, all of Beaumont, Renee Brown of Silsbee and Rita Elam of Dallas; and grandchildren.
