Vessie Williams

Vessie VernellWilliams, 93, of Kountze, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Funeral service was Saturday, July 5 at Broussard’sMortuary in Kountze with burial following in Old Hardin Cemetery, also in Kountze. A native of Shelbyville, she had lived in this area 50 years. Survivors include her son, Vessie Terrell “Terry” Williams and wife Diana of Kountze; brothers, Vance Green and wife Betty and Fred Green and wife Bessie Lou, all of Shelbyville; sister, Johnnie Price of Center; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carolyn Wilson

Carolyn Rochelle Wilson, 70, of Silsbee, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Icon Hospital in Humble. Funeral service was Monday, July 7 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Knupple Cemetery, also in Silsbee. A native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of Silsbee, she was a nurses aide. Survivors include sons, Eric Wilson and wife Stephanie of Porter and Neil Wilson and wife Kacie of Dallas; daughter, Gail Wilson Estes of Pasadena; sisters, Brenda Reed ofAustin and Charlotte Guidry of Port Arthur; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arthur Teinert

A graveside service for Arthur Fred Teinert, 72, of Silsbee was at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Mr. Teinert passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his residence. A native of LaGrange, he had lived in Silsbee for 25 years. He was a retired butcher and had worked for HEB and Brookshire Bros and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Smith Teinert of Silsbee; sons, Allen Teinert of Vidor and Terry Teinert of Beaumont; daughter, Staci Teinert of Port Arthur; stepsons, Bobby LeBlanc of Silsbee and Ricky LeBlanc of Beaumont; sister, Mary Ann Hagens of Port Arthur; and four grandchildren.

Charlie Coudrain

Charlie Wayne Coudrain, 61, of Silsbee, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A graveside service was held Thursday, July 3 at Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Beaumont, he worked as a laborer. Survivors include his sons, Michael Coudrain ofWinnebago, Minnesota, and Raymond Coudrain, Daniel Wayne Coudrain, Nolan Ryan Coudrain, Elvin Paul Coudrain and Kenneth Wayne Coudrain, all of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; stepson, James Michael Corsi of Seagoville; brother, James Coudrain of Kountze; sisters, Fahy Strawther of Kirbyville andVernie Burks of Mauriceville; and five grandchildren.

Doris Nell Leatherwood, 68, of Lumberton, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 9) at Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont with burial following in Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches. A native of Galveston, she was a former resident of Beaumont. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charles Leatherwood; son, Chuck Leatherwood and wife Brenda of Nederland; daughter, Kristin Torrez and husband Jared of Lumberton; brother, John D. Rogers of Lufkin; sister, Louise Moncrief of Beaumont; and two grandchildren.

Dollie Liddle

Dollie Alethia Liddle, 92, of Spurger, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her home. Funeral service was Wednesday, July 2 at Spurger United Methodist Church with burial following in Turner Branch Cemetery, also in Spurger under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Gulfport, Mississippi, she was a longtime resident of Spurger. Survivors include her daughters, Theresa Bernsen of Beaumont and Phyllis Liddle of Spurger.

Jerry Gregory

Funeral services for Jerry Dewayne Gregory, 60, of Beaumont, were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Gregory died June 26, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Silsbee, Jerry had lived in Beaumont 3 years. He earned a Master's degree from LSU in Baton Rouge and his civil engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. He worked as a civil engineer for the State of Texas. Mr. Gregory is survived by his parents, Joe and Jackie Gregory of Beaumont; daughter, Leah Gregory of Lake Oswego, OR and brother Gary Joe Gregory of Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in honor of Jerry be made to the American Cancer Society, 755 S 11th St, Ste 212, Beaumont TX 77701.

Nathan Haynes

Nathan Gary Haynes, 70, of Silsbee, died Saturday, June 28, 2014. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 2) at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following in Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. He was a native of Kountze, graduate of Kountze High School and a lifetime resident of this area. He was owner of N&DMotors in Silsbee. “Nate the Great” loved the outdoors; whether on his tractor, in his flower and vegetable gardens, or on his jet ski at the lake. He was a compassionate, sincere man to both the people and animals he cherished. Survivors include is wife, Patricia “Pat” Haynes; daughters, Lesa Simmons and husband Mark of Silsbee and Rhonda Haynes of Bellville; stepson, Christopher Gilbert of Dallas; sisters, Laura Roach and Judy Moore, both of Kountze; brother, Dean Haynes of Kountze; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Coleman Memorial Mortuary, also in Silsbee. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Anative of Humble, she was a housewife. Survivors include daughter, Christine Cartwright of Kountze; sons, Albert Haynes Jr. and wife Mary of Manteca, California, Carlton Haynes and wife Patrice of Temple, Terry Haynes and wife Debra of Silsbee andMichel Haynes and Eric Haynes, both of Kountze; brother, Braxton Crews and wife Charlene of Humble; and 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
