Judge Larry Allen Wyer, 75, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015. Funeral service was Friday, September 4 at Woodcrest United Methodist Church in Lumberton under the direction of Lumberton Funeral Home in Lumberton. Burial was held Tuesday, September 8 at Houston National Cemetery. Born in Denver, Missouri, he served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1963. H had a wide range of jobs during his career, from farmer to councilor to Colorado State Patrolman. He served as sheriff and chief of police in multiple areas in Iowa. He was the Lumberton Municipal Court Judge since 2002. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Brenda Wyer; daughters, Lavonna Reigenborn and Alicia Ostrander, both of Colorado; brothers, Marvin Wyer and Richard Wyer; sisters, Lois Hill and Linda Mathews; and two grandchildren.
