Maria Bebon, 81, of Lumberton,  died Monday, February 23, 2015. Funeral service was Saturday, February 28 at Grace Church in Kountze under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. Survivors include son, Frank J. Bebon and wife Margie of Lumberton; daughter, Mary Moore and husband Boe of Orangefield; brother, Thomas Garza of Corpus Christi; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Horace

Elizabeth Williams Horace, 90, of Groveton, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her home. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 7 at the Groveton High School Auditorium in Groveton with burial following in Lacy, Texas under the direction Donald E. Coleman Funeral Home in Kountze. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Faith Temple Evangelistic Center in Corrigan. Survivors include her children, Mary Phillips and Lynn Horace, both of Groveton, Eddie Horace of Lacy, Velma Freeman of Humble, Wanda Gibbins of Richland, Washington, Willie Horace of Groveton, and Bruce Horace of Conroe; sisters, Hazel Maiden of Lufkin and Ruby Wyatt of Groveton; brothers, Rev. W.D. Hall of Los Angeles, California and Arthur Punch and Beatrice, both of Groveton and Shannon Williams of Houston; 57 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

E.W. “Buck” Buckley

E.W. “Buck” Buckley, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 10 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. A graveside service was held Friday, Feb. 13 at Davis Cemetery in Colmesneil. A native of Silsbee, he served in the United States Navy as a member of theAviation Unit Black Cat Squadron. His mechanical skills landed him on a VP 52 that conducted antishipping patrols at night in New Guinea. He worked in the oilfield for many years for  Cormier Well Service. The
last 20 years he served as superintendent for Santa Fe International Drilling Co.,  working overseas in Africa, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Baharain. He retired in 1986 and moved to the community of Plum Ridge on Sandy Creek,
Lake Sam Rayburn. Survivors include sons, Jerry Buckley and wife Sheila of PortAransas, Kyle Buckley of Plum Ridge and Richard King of Navasota; daughters, Carole Favro and husband Terry of Nacogdoches and Jan

Joy Laverne Levy, 84, of Rye, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. A memorial service was held Saturday, February 21 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Somerset, she was a longtime resident of Rye. Lucy Elaine “Betsy” Spell

Funeral services for Lucy Elaine “Betsy” Spell, 60, of Fred were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m.
until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Spell passed away February 18, 2015 at her residence. Betsy was born in Kountze and was a lifelong resident of Fred. She worked at Helena Laboratories for many years.
Betsy is preceded in death by her parents, John andMyrtisWatts. Survivors include her husband, Michael Carl Spell of Fred; sons, Tyler Spell, Mike Spell and Jason Spell; daughter, Carla Hays; brothers, Bob Watts and Bill Watts, all of Fred; sisters, Laverne Blanchard and Ima JeanAnding of Vidor and Charlene Garsee of Warren; and three grandchildren. B etsy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Spurger. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, she had worked at Kirby Forest Industries before retiring. Survivors include son, Michael McDonald and wife Patty of Silsbee; daughters, Debbie Roberts and husband Ronnie of Silsbee and Paula McDonald of Beaumont; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
