Tiffany Rich Price

Tiffany Rich Price, 37, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 following a courage battle with cancer. Funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 13 at Cathedral Church in Beaumont with burial following in Haven of  Rest, also in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee.  She was a teacher of the Missionette Star program and was a lifelong member of Victory Temple in Beaumont. Survivors include her husband, Joshua Price; and parents, Linda and John Rich

Graveside services for FredrickWilliam‘Billy’Sharp Jr., 67, of Silsbee will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Knupple Cemetery under the direction of Farmer  Funeral Home. A viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. until
9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Sharp died September 15, 2014 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, Billy had worked construction and was currently co-owner of Sharp Canoe Rentals for many
years. Mr. Sharp is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick William ‘Fritz’ Sharp Sr. and Georgia Inez Flanakin Sharp; son Justin Rhodes and sister Wanda Gore. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sharp of Silsbee; son,

Michael Hudson

Michael Dewayne Hudson, 45, of Silsbee, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 in Silsbee. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Faith Temple Church in Silsbee with burial following in Hickory Groves Cemetery, also in Silsbee under the direction of J.B. Coleman Memorial Mortuary in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church. A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, he was a scaffold foreman and was employed with KBR Construction at Dupont in Orange. Survivors include his wife, Brendy Hudson of Silsbee; daughters, Nataja Hudson, Makiya Hudson and Yasmine Wysingle, all of Silsbee; son, Shaquille Hudson of Silsbee; mother, Betty Faye Hudson of Huntsville; father, Henry Hudson Sr. of Silsbee; sisters, Monique Hudson Davis and Shemeekeeia Hudson, both of Houston, Asciaa Hudson of Huntsville and Patricia Hudson of Silsbee; brothers, Henry Hudson Jr. and wife Jourdan of Huntsville and Patrick Hudson of Silsbee; and one grandchild.

James Fuqua

Funeral services for James Roland Fuqua, 84, of Silsbee will be at 12 Noon, Thursday September 11, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Visitation will be from10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Fuqua passed away September 8, 2014 at his residence. Born in Livingston, James was a longtime resident of this area. He worked as a truck driver for Kirby Lumber Co. and worked as an ironworker out of Local 125 before retiring. Mr. Fuqua proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Evadale. Mr. Fuqua was preceded in death by his parents, James Claude and Alice Loftin Fuqua; his loving wife of 33 years, Louise Turner Fuqua and sister,Wynona Carter.

Woody Spurlock

Funeral service for Woody Earl Spurlock, 87, of Silsbee, were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Spurlock passed away September 3, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Woody was a native and longtime resident of Silsbee. He was a retired electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 479. Mr. Spurlock served in the USArmy during the KoreanWar. Woody is preceded in death by his parents,William L. and Annie Lou Parker Spurlock; wife, Doris Jean Spurlock; son,Alvin Spurlock; daughter, Connie Drawhorn; and sisters, Irma Strother and Judy McIntyre.

Betty Jordan

Betty Jordan died August 22, 2014 in Huntsville, Texas. Graveside services and internment took place Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Born in Haslem, Texas and a long time resident of Silsbee, she along with others began the Christian Care Center of Silsbee and was it's original director. She was a Calvinist Evangelical Christian and she and her husband Fred Jordan, who preceded  her in death on October 7, 1995 were a member of all Masonic bodies. May God bless and keep you  always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you. She is survived by her son, Randy and his wife Mary and their children John Jordan, Alana Jordan and Troy Knight; her son, Ron Jordan and his wife Melanie; and many friends and relatives.

Bessie Dixon

Bessie Mae Joyce Dixon, 90, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Saturday,  August 16 at Primus Chapel Church in Silsbee under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Kirby Cemetery, also in Silsbee. A lifelong resident of Silsbee, she retired from Silsbee I.S.D. Survivors include sons, Tommy Earl White and wife Faye of Lufkin and Ricky Dixon and wife Vera of Silsbee; daughters, Mary Carey, Baby Jo Dixon, Anita Carey and husband Gary and Delores Williams and husband Carl, all of Silsbee; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janet Pady, 63, of Lumberton, died Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her home. Funeral service was Thursday, August 28 at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton under the direction of Lumberton Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband Tommy Pady Sr. of Lumberton; daughter, Suzanne Buchanan and husband Chris of Lumberton; son, Tommy Pady Jr. of Lumberton; sisters, Diane Dixon of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sharyn McLauchlan and husband Mike of Humble and Susan Phillips and husband Keith of Vidor; brothers, Joseph Flanigan and wife Vickie of Vidor and Daniel Flanigan and wife Mary of Lumberton; and three grandchildren.

Barbara Ann Poe, 75, of Lumberton, died Tuesday,August 26, 2014. Funeral service was Friday, August 29 at Parkway Life Church in Lumberton with burial following in Leatherwood Cemetery under the direction of Lumberton Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Larry Poe Sr.; daughters, Angela Fussell, Mary Jo Poe, Amanda Lindoerfer, Paulette Foret, and Tammy Russell; sons, Billy Kelley, Larry Poe Jr., Travis Poe and Michael Hampton; sister, Cheryl Anderson; brother, Jerry Atkins; and ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

James Cunningham

James Dewitt Cunningham, 59, of Hillister, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at his home. A memorial service was held Monday, Sept. 8 at New Covenant Assembly of God Church in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home, also in Silsbee. A native of Silsbee, he was longtime resident of this area. He was a machinist. Survivors include his daughter, Joi Cunningham Williams and husband Zack of Hillister; sisters, Verna Brown and husband Billy of Silsbee, Sylvia Hajduk and husband Leon of San Antonio, Judy Harris of Silsbee, Janice Payne and husband Larry of Hillister and Debra Tovar and husbandMatt of Blessing; and one grandchild.
