Frank Pool

Frank Raymond Pool, 90, of Silsbee entered into his Heavenly home Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Spanish Trail Assisted Living in Silsbee. He was born July 23, 1926 to Oscar M. Pool and Ethel Grant Pool of Buna, Texas in an old church house that his dad was remodeling. The Pool family settled in Buna in 1916 and raised 7 children next door to the "Polka Dot" house. Frank was in church at First Baptist Buna when Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1941. In 1943, he joined the Navy and served on the USS Windham Bay. On February 11, 1945, he married the love of his life, Sarah Faye Davis. They were married 38 years until her passing in 1983. In 1952, Frank surrendered to the ministry. He moved his family to Marshall, Texas to get his degree in the ministry at East Texas Baptist University. After graduating he moved to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Theological Seminary. Over the years, he pastored churches in Hemphill, Hillsboro, Silsbee, Buna and Bon Wier.

Johnny Moulder

Johnny Walter “Jay” Moulder, 55, of Woodville, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Tyler County Hospital. Funeral service was Saturday, October 15 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Moulder Cemetery, also in Silsbee. Born in Kountze, he was a longtime resident of Silsbee before moving to Woodville. Survivors include his mother, Linda Moulder of Silsbee; wife, Terri Moulder of Woodville; daughters, Amber Carpenter and husband Blake and Amanda Moulder, both of Silsbee; brothers, Luke Moulder and Kelvin Moulder, both of Silsbee; and three grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

Bobby Carter Sr.

Bobby Lynn Carter Sr., 57, of Silsbee, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at Silsbee Convalescent Center. Born in Kountze, he was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and was a member of the IBEW. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wall Carter of Silsbee; sons, Bobby Carter Jr. of Tennessee Colony, Daniel W. Carter of Silsbee, Shaun Hannon of Vidor and Chad Hannon of Houston; daughters, Patricia Moffett of Silsbee and Amy Hannon of Nederland; brother, James Carter of Dayton; and 16 grandchildren. There will be no service at this time. Provided by Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee

Anita Langford

Anita Loos Langford, 85, of Sour Lake, died Monday, October 17, 2016. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 22 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze with burial following in Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. the day of service at the funeral home. Born in Udenheim, Germany, she had lived in the Kountze area for 56 years. Survivors include her husband, Douglas Theadore Langford Sr.; son, Dale Langford and wife Becky Managan of Lafayette, Louisiana; brother, Harst Loos of Udenheim, Germany; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donald Gallion

Funeral services for Donald Wayne Gallion, 62, of Silsbee were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Gallion passed away October 12, 2016 in Silsbee. He was born November 29, 1953 in Beaumont and was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He was a boilermaker for Ohmstede. Donald is preceded in death by his father Reverend Paul Gallion Sr. and mother Aurora Garza Gallion. Survivors include wife Sandra Gallion of Silsbee; sons Daniel and Tracie Gallion of Kountze, Jack Jenkins of Buna, Derek and Heather Gore of Spurger, Patrick Tanton of Brenham, Shawn Gallion of Silsbee, Shelby and Kortney Gallion of Nederland, and Kevin and Ashley Willis of Silsbee; daughters LaCole and Shannon Davis of Kirbyville, and Shasta Gallion of Beaumont; brother Paul and Fran Gallion Jr.

Vivian Dorman

Vivian Ella Dorman, 87, of Rison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Funeral service was Monday, October 17 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. Born in Warren, she was a retired bookkeeper. Survivors include sons, Larry Dorman and wife Traci of Burkeville and Lynn Dorman and wife Amy of Livingston; daughter, Linda Jaggers and husband Greg of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; brother, Ward McDonald of Brenham; sister, Vergie Meigs of Houston; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wanda Jo Arnaud, 71, of Spurger, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016. Funeral service was Friday, October 14 at Abundant Life Church in Silsbee under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. Survivors include her sons, Walter Jerald Arnaud and wife Susan of Lawton, Oklahoma and Wayne Jeffrey Arnaud and wife Melanie of Spurger; and six grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.
