Steven Wright

Steven Earl Wright, 58, died Thursday, July 10, 2014. Survivors include daughter, BrandiWright and husband Rodney Winfrey of Sea Brook; son, Justin EarlWright of Sea Brook; mother, Jane Wright of Lumberton; sister, Kathy Gobert and husband Kenny of Lumberton; and one grandchild. No funeral service. Arrangements under the direction of Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. much more than give medications and bandage wounds, she humbly gave of herself to help others who were in need. She said helping students to be healthy and prevent diseases was a wonderful teaching experience for her and that a smile, thank you, or a hug from a student when a health service was rendered was very rewarding. Phyllis White

Phyllis JoyWhite, 77, of Lumberton, died Friday, July 11, 2014. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, she had worked as a cosmetology instructor. Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Hooks of Lumberton, Rebecca Lucas and husband Jerry of Chester, Virginia, Phyllis O’Brien and husband Michael of St. Louis, Missouri, and Mary Greer and husband Gil of Silsbee; brother, Dr. Robert Lee Stevens and wife Elizabeth of Durrant, Oklahoma; and 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont.

“Bo” Dykes

Duncan “Bo” Frank Dykes, 83, of Lumberton, died Monday, July 14, 2014. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 18 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following in Rockland Cemetery in Rockland. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at the funeral home. Anative of Rockland, he retired from Ironworkers Local 125 with 50 years service. He was a member of Show River Lodge #385, AF&AM in Spurger. Survivors include daughter, Sheree Brushaber and husband Jeff of Lumberton; son, David Dykes of Houston; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Carolyn Rochelle Wilson, 70, of Silsbee, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Icon Hospital in Humble. A native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of Silsbee, she was a nurses aide. Survivors include sons, Eric Wilson and wife Stephanie of Porter and Neil Wilson and wife Kacie of Dallas; daughter, Gail Wilson Estes of Pasadena; sisters, Brenda Reed ofAustin and Charlotte Guidry of Port Arthur; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arthur Teinert

A graveside service for Arthur Fred Teinert, 72, of Silsbee was at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Mr. Teinert passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his residence. A native of LaGrange, he had lived in Silsbee for 25 years. He was a retired butcher and had worked for HEB and Brookshire Bros and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Smith Teinert of Silsbee; sons, Allen Teinert of Vidor and Terry Teinert of Beaumont; daughter, Staci Teinert of Port Arthur; stepsons, Bobby LeBlanc of Silsbee and Ricky LeBlanc of Beaumont; sister, Mary Ann Hagens of Port Arthur; and four grandchildren.
