George Henry Lee, 64, of Silsbee, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at his home.A memorial service will be  held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Survivors include his companion, Patsy Isbell Amador of Silsbee; son, DalonWright of Huntville; brothers, Malcolm Lee and wife Myrtle of Vidor and Wilson Kee Lee Jr. and wife Renee of Beaumont; and sister, Priscilla Teco Johnson and husband Fred of Bevil Oaks.

James Stuart Jr.

James “Jim” Edward Stuart Jr., 71, of Spurger, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Funeral service was Sunday, August 31 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following in Resthaven Cemetery, also in Silsbee. He was a United States ArmyVietnam veteran and recently retired from Ratliff Industries. Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Stuart of Silsbee; children, Kelly Horne and husband Don of Silsbee, Jamie Stuart and Stacey Huddleston and husband Dennis, all of Knoxville, Sharla Stuart of Houston and Jason Stuart of Knoxville; brothers, Ricky Stuart and wife Terri of Silsbee and Randy Stuart and wife Terri of Zavalla; and 14 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.

A native of Beaumont, he was a 2012 graduate of Evadale High School and worked as a welder at STI in Buna. Rannie Barraque

Rannie Lou “Aunt Cat” Barraque, 87, of Cypress, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at her home. Funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 13 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. A native of Fred, she was a longtime resident of Southeast Texas. She was a retired insurance broker. Survivors include sons, Denny Perkins and Derek Perkins and wife Tracie, all of Cypress; brother, Sam Jeffcoat; sister, Lillie Krumnow; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lummie Hartley

Lummie Louise Hartley, 85, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014. Funeral service was Saturday, Sept. 6 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following in Resthaven Cemetery, also in Silsbee. Anative of Brooks Community in Panola County, she had worked as a clerk for Hardin Drug and was a member of First Baptist Church in Silsbee. Survivors include her daughters,MaryWomack and husband Jimmy and Sandra Bailey and husband Daniel, all of Silsbee; brother, J.B. Hardin of Salado; sister,Willa Skidmore of Carthage; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Casey Simmons Sr.

Casey Boyett Simmons Sr., 58, of Vidor, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at his home after a battle with cancer. Funeral service was at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 10) at Turning Point Church in Vidor with burial in Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lumberton Funeral Home in Lumberton. Anative of Beaumont and a lifetime resident of Vidor, he was an automotive paint and body man.Survivors include daughter,  Misty Warren of Vidor; sons, Casey Simmons Jr. and wife Melony and Tray Brown and wife Dallis, all of Vidor; sisters, Betty Haynes, Bobbie Johnson, Carol Williams and husband Charles and Sandra Rao, all of Lumberton and Alice Rachford of Vidor; brothers, Curtis Simmons and Calvin Simmons, both ofAlto and Colven Simmons and Cecil Simmons, both ofVidor; and ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Laura Guillory

Laura Guillory, 72, of Rye, died Friday, August 22, 2014. Funeral service was Tuesday, August 26 at LumbertonFamily Funeral Home.  Survivors include daughters, Peggy Guillory and husband Jeff of Lumberton and Tina Tate and husband Clint of Walker, Louisiana; sons, Larry Guillory and wife Jeanette of Fred, Dennis Guillory and wife Kim of Lakeview and Phillip Guillory and wife Daisy of Rye; sisters, Nancy Sims of Lumberton and Shirley Johnson of Magnolia; brother, Harry Sponsler of Elkhart; and 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Myrtis Skinner

Myrtis Skinner was born on November 24, 1921 to Ernest L. Skinner and Bertie Loving Skinner. He passed away September 1, 2014 at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Cecil, Otto, and Leon; and sister, Gladys. Survivors include his daughter, Sherry Thomas; sons, Ralph Skinner and Ricky Skinner; step-son, Dewayne Anderson; his grandchildren, Leah Thomas, David Thomas and William Tyson and step-granddaughters, LeEllen “Sissy” Roberts and Amanda Lowe. Mr. Skinner served in combat duringWorldWar II in the crew of a B24 bomber and worked many years for Chicago Bridge & Iron, retiring as an x-ray technician. He was a 67-year member of the Broaddus #1112 and Silsbee #927 Masonic Lodges. A memorial service will be held at Farmer Funeral Home at 1:00 pm, Thursday September 4, 2014 with a private burial.
