Tigers punch ticket to regionals

Depth proved to be a vital factor in the Tigers 104-59 win over Houston Furr on Friday.

The Houston Furr Brahmans had two decent quarters, the first and the third. In each half they seemed to wear down as the half wore on and they were totally blown out in the fourth period.

The Tigers jumped off to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter and then the Brahmans answered with six straight points. Bruce Newton broke the streak with a free throw.

During the first half of the first quarter the Tigers pressure defense managed to force two 10-second calls against the Brahmans.

The momentum moved to the Tigers end of the court when Jordan Adams and Trajan Harris each hit a three-point shots.

A technical foul was called against Kalon Barnes when he retaliated after rolling around on the floor, by giving an opponent a shove when the two players got to their feet.
