-- El Jalapeno Restaurant, 755 South Pine, Kountze; Scored 50/90: Went in on a complaint. Garbage thrown out back door. Thawing meat out in sink overnight. Meat was already at an unsafe temperature and had to be thrown away on day of inspection. Dishes piled up in sink from night before. Ordered to close for cleanup. Initial score of 50. After a re-visit, a new score of 90 was issued.

-- Dairy Queen, 1180 North Fifth Street, Silsbee: Score 84: Needed light fixed in walk-in freezer. Women's room was out of order and needed to be repaired. Ice machine door needed to be fixed and there was slime on the machine. Had sink was being used for things other than washing hands. Thermometer needed for RIC.

-- Jack in the Box, 190 South Main, Lumberton: Score 88: Walk-in cooler needed to be cleaned. Shake machine faucet needed to be fixed, as did ice machine lid. Floors were dirty and needed to be cleaned. Cold hold needed ice.

-- Peavy's Caney Head Store, 8500 FM 92, Silsbee: Score of 85: Needed test strips for sanitizing water. Out of date canned goods on shelf. Needed thermometer for checking hot hold unit.
-- Express Marth No. 14, 383 North LHS Drive, Lumberton: Scored 94: Slime on ice machine. Milk cooler needed thermometer.
