| DONALD RAY HICKEY
Donald Ray Big “D” Hickey, 59, of Kirbyville, formerly of Beaumont passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010.
Graveside services were held Sunday, April 11 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s of Beaumont.
He was born June 15, 1950 in Beaumont and graduated from French High School in 1969. He worked at the Beaumont Water Department as a young man and retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T after 32 years, and was currently working part-time at Orange County Building Materials in Lumberton. He received a Diesel Mechanic certificate and A/C Refrigeration Associates degree from LIT in Beaumont.
Hickey was loving, friendly, helpful, a big tease and never met a stranger, but would help one if need be. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson Road King and tinker with old cars. He was a member of the Cowboy Hog Chapter and National Harley Owners Group.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold C. Hickey; stepfather, Lloyd Kirkland; and stepson, William May, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Hickey of Kirbyville; mother, Lois Fore Hickey Kirkland of Beaumont; sister, Patricia Shimek and her husband Larry of Beaumont; stepsister, Janet Born and her husband Cliff of Victoria; sons, Joel Hickey and his wife Emily and Jeff Hickey and his wife Kelle, all of Lake Jackson; stepson, Troy May and his wife Shai of Baytown; stepdaughter, Kimberly May of Silsbee; grandchildren, Shawn Hickey, Leahna Hickey and Nadia Hickey; step-grandchildren, Shelly May, Alan Hagan, Tiffany Lummus, Aaron Hagan, T.J. May, Cory Lummus and Austin May; nieces, Stephanie Shimek, Heather Rudd and her husband Marcus, Abby Sanders and her husband Earl and Leigh Ann Born; and great-niece, Madalyn Sanders.

Donna Johnson, 58, of Vidor passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at her home.
Graveside services were held Friday, April 9 at Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
A native of Lagrande, Oregon, she had lived in Vidor since 1991.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Johnson, Jr. of Vidor; brothers, Glen Walston of Vidor, Johnny Walston of Spurger and Corky Walston of Mississippi; and sister, Betty Higginbotham of Vidor.
MARTHIE JANE JONES
Marthie Jane Jones, 74, of Kirbyville passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the Buna Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 27 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Bean Cemetery.
A native of Garrison County, she had lived in Kirbyville most of her life.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Ray Jones of Kirbyville, Kenneth Ray Jones of Buna and David William Jones of Beaumont; daughters, Brenda Ann Powers of Jasper and Linda Havard of Buna; brothers, Leon McCauley and James McCauley, both of Gilmer; sisters, Jane Stanley and Frankie McKinley, both of Gilmer; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
MARY MIDKIFF
Mary Midkiff, 80, of Kirbyville passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Jasper.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 6 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery.
A native of Japton, Arkansas, she had lived in Kirbyville most of her life and was a retired school custodian.
Survivors include her sons, Eugene McComas of Huntsville, Arkansas, Rodney Midkiff of Kirbyville and Rickey Midkiff of Kirbyville; stepson, Robert DeWayne Midkiff of Livingston; daughter, June McLeory of Elkins, Arkansas; stepdaughter, Joyce Horton of Tyler; brother, Paul Williams of Elkins, Arkansas; sisters, Lilly Harriman, Connie Stepps and Edna Haskins, all of Elkins, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
LYNWOOD “BOBBY” WARNOCK
Lynwood “Bobby” Warnock, 49, of Kirbyville passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Jasper.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 15 at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Additional services will be held Saturday, April 17 at Northside Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi with burial at Ogden Baptist Church Cemetery in Bentonia, Mississippi under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
A native of Hollandale, Mississippi, he had lived in Kirbyville 11 years and was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Aggie Warnock of Kirbyvile; daughter, April Pilgreen of Kirbyville; mother, Mary O’Neal of Tiger Point, Florida; stepmother, Barbara Warnock; brothers, Doug Warnock and Michael Warnock, both of Florida and Jeff Mitchell of Alabama; sister, Cindy Corn of Illinois; and four grandchildren.
