SANDRA GOODWIN

Sandra Goodwin, 62, of Kirbyville died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at her residence.

Cremation was handled by Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

A native of Jamestown, Louisiana, she had lived in Kirbyville 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Goodwin of Kirbyville; sons, David Wayne Young and Travis Lynn Turner, both of Kirbyville; daughter, Katherine Molt of Kirbyville; brother, Melvin Spinks of Merryville, Louisiana; sisters, Sarah Nell Elender of Merryville, Tinkie Elender of Sulphur, Louisiana, Clara Jean Elender of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Betty Ruth Dickerson of Sulphur, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

GENE LLOYD SINGLETON

Gene Lloyd Singleton, 61, of Bleakwood died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 15 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Watson Chapel Cemetery in Bleakwood.

A native and lifelong resident of Bleakwood, he was a retired Technical Assistant in the Inspection Department at Motiva and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Singleton of Bleakwood; daughter, Tonia Rooney of Florida; son, Todd Singleton of Kirbyville; and grandchildren, Matthew Tremont, Maranda Rooney, Sandy Kirk, Christie Kirk and Alicia Anderson.
