William “Bill” Cain, 70, of Buna died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Orange.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 4 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery.
A native of Apple Springs, he had lived in Buna 40 years and was a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Cain of Buna; mother, Vergie Long of Daisetta; son, Billy Charles Cain of Fred; daughters, Lori Ard and Diane Wilson, both of Fred and Farrah Cain of Buna; sisters, Marie Moore of Elizabeth, Louisiana and Margie McShan and Linda Clow, both of Daisetta; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
LORENE MARSHALL FERGESON
Lorene Marshall Fergeson, 91, of New Caney died Friday, April 3, 2009 in Houston.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 6 at Watson Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Singletary and husband Robert of New Caney; brother, Thomas W. Marshall of Effingham, Illinois; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

“BUCKSHOT”
Douglas Wayne “Buckshot” Lewis, 56, of Kirbyville died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 7 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at a family cemetery.
A native of Jasper, he lived in the Kirbyville area and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and two of their children, Misty and Little Doug.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Lewis of Kirbyville; mother, Wilma Marriott and husband Weldon of Onalaska; father, Doug Lewis and wife Lucy of Kirbyville; stepsons, Derek Fussell and wife Dinah and Dustin Fussell and wife Alisha, all of Kirbyville; daughters, Lora Curl and husband Doug of Kirbyville, Brooke Smith and husband Arthur of Jasper and Camille Lewis of Kirbyville; sisters, Karen Gatlin and husband Chris of Crystal Beach and Roma Skinner and Rhonda Wagnon, both of Kirbyville; brother, Wesley Lewis and wife Amy of Kirbyville; seven grandchildren; a special horse, Jessie; and many other close family and friends.
STEVE ALLEN OSBURN
Steve Allen Osburn, 59, of Porter died Sunday, March 22, 2009.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 26 at Rosewood Porter Chapel with burial at Rosewood Memorial Park.
He was born June 11, 1949 to Joe F. and Helen Osburn and worked in the construction business for many years.
Pallbearers were Lucky Osburn, Joe David Osburn, Joseph Novosad, Tommy Baker, Raymond Baker and Bud Baker.
Survivors include his sons, Cory Osburn and J.J. Osburn and his fiancé Jenny Fitzgerald; father, Joe F. Osburn of Kirbyville; brothers, Johnny Osburn, Joe David Osburn of Kirbyville, Lucky Osburn of Kirbyville and Danny Osburn; sisters, Carol Martin of Kirbyville and Linda Pierce of Center; and three grandchildren, Brittany, Dusty and Hollie.
