WILLIAM TOMMY COLE
William Tommy Cole, 69, of the Golden Triangle area died Sunday, November 30, 2008.
Funeral services were held Sat-urday, December 6 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
Born to Geraldine Asby and Wil-liam “Bill” Cole on November 5, 1939 in Conroe, he lived in Neder-land for the last 15 years with his wife of 27 years, Fay Terry Cole. He worked in ship repair for over 35 years and loved fishing, hunting and spending time at the camp in Brookeland. He loved to tell stories with his family.
He is preceded in death by his son, Terry Cole; brother, Joe Cole; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Cole of Nederland; sons, Clifford Cole, Willie Broussard and wife Karen, Scott Cole and wife Jeanne, Charles Broussard and wife Cressa, and Phillip Broussard and wife Tracey; daughters, Brenda Thomp-son, Lanell Kibodeaux and husband Joey and Christien Cole; brothers, Ross Coleand and wife Madine, Butch Lilley and wife Jackie and Charlie Martin and wife Oma; sisters, Carolyn Herrin and husband Ray, Melanie Johnson and husband Bill and Rose Matthews and husband Royce; sister-in-law, Belinda Durham; 24 grandchildren; and many, many dear friends who will greatly miss him.
MURIEL HAIRE DANNA
Muriel Haire Danna, 93, of Jasper died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Funeral services were Friday, December 5 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial at Turner Branch Cemetery near Spurger.
A native of Tyler County, she was raised in Kirbyville and was a former longtime resident of Houston, she had lived in Jasper for the past 24 years. A graduate of Kir-byville High School, she attended Chenier Business School in Beaumont and worked as an ac-countant before becoming an Interior Decorator for many years in Houston. A child of the Great De-pression, she was very frugal but was very generous to her family. She enjoyed reminiscing about growing up in Kirbyville.
Survivors include her sister, Louise Odom and husband Lavon of Bridge City; brother-in-law, John A. Martindale of Jasper; sister-in-law, Lucille Haire of Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.

BO ERNST, JR.
Bo Ernst, Jr., 55, of Kirbyville died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Funeral services were held Tues-day, December 9 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with cremation to follow.
A native of Port Arthur, he was a lifelong resident of Kirbyville and was a retired pipefitter.
Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Ernst of Port Arthur and Kassidy Prawitz of League City; brother, John Tom Ernst of Dayton; sister, Janis Provost of Groves; and grandchildren, Kylie, Ashton and Ethen.
NANCY HASBROOK
Nancy Hasbrook, 67, of Kirbyville died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Avalon Place Nursing Home in Kirbyville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, De-cember 10 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Magnolia Springs Cemetery.
A native of Beaumont, she had lived in Kirbyville 15 years and was a former paralegal of Robert Jackson in Jasper.
Survivors include her son, Bobby Lee Tarver, Jr. of Nassau, The Bahamas; mother, Pauline Conway of Kirbyville; brothers, William Joseph Conway, Jr. of Fresno, California, Herbert Conway of Silsbee and James Conway of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Flo Risinger of Kirbyville and Linda Elder of Kirbyville.
ALLENE RUTH MITCHELL
Allene Ruth Mitchell, 94, formerly of Kirbyville passed away in Marble Falls on Monday, December 8, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church in Kir-byville on Thursday, December 11 with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville. Visitation will commence at 1 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.
She was born to parents John W. and Perl Inez (Martin) Stewart in the Blackjack Community of Nacogdoches County on April 14, 1914. At age eight the family moved to San Augustine where she graduated from high school in 1932 and married the same year. Her husband Troy L. Mitchell was City Manager of San Augustine from 1941 until 1950 when they moved to Kirbyville where he was General Manager of Jasper-Newton Electric Cooperative until his retirement in 1975.
Allene lived in Kirbyville for over 50 years and was active in church, community and social activities. She was a dedicated supporter and volunteer of the Kir-byville Christian Outreach and was always willing to provide a helping hand to those in need. In 2001 she moved to a retirement community in Huntsville near her son Ron and in 2007 then she moved to an assisted living facility in Marble Falls near son Glenn where she lived until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband Troy L. Mitchell in 1993 and a grandchild, Glenn Wayne Mitchell Jr. in 1981.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn Mitchell and wife Margaret of Horseshoe Bay and Ron Mitchell and wife Derril of Huntsville; grandchildren, Leslie Mitchell of Austin, Stacy Puddy and husband Glenn of Dallas and Scott Mitchell of Los Angeles, California; and great-grandchildren Haley and Hannah Puddy of Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kirbyville Central Baptist Church.
