LAWRENCE FRENCH “LARRY”
Lawrence “Larry” French, 77, of Kirbyville passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Houston.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 21 at the Abundant Life Church in Kirbyville.
He served the country in the Korean War and was also the director of the Kirbyville MHMR Resale Shop for the past 19 years.
Survivors include his wife, Rosetta “Rose” French; daughter, Roxanne Case of Santa Rosa, California; grandchildren, Krista and Dillon Case; and stepsons, Robert and Crecencio Gonzales, both of Lancaster, California.
ROBERT JAMES LEAVINGS
Robert James Leavings, 87, of Kirbyville passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services were held February 5 at Smith Funeral Home in Newton with burial and military graveside rites at Zion Hill Cemetery in Jasper.
He was born in Loeb, Texas on December 20, 1922 and had lived in Kirbyville for several years. He was a U. S. Army and Air Force veteran and was a retired sawmill worker.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Leavings of Kirbyville; sons, James Edward Empson and Robert Davis Leavings, both of Kirbyville; daughter, Patricia Hemphill of Houston; brother, Cecil Leavings of Jasper, five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
