Rudolfo Aaron Briz
Rudolfo Aaron Briz, 20 months, of Lewisville died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
A rosary service was held Monday, July 6 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
A native of Plano and a resident of Lewisville, he was visiting relatives in Kirbyville at the time of his death.
He is survived by his parents, Norma and Rodolfo Briz; brothers, Angel Briz and Emmanuel Briz, all of Kirbyville; grandparents, Rosa and Rodolfo Briz of Kirbyville and Leticia and Alejandro Porras of Mexico.
DEWITT HUTCHISON
DeWitt Hutchison, 90, of Kirbyville died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 4 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Davis Cemetery in the Beulah Springs Community.
A native of Panola County, he had lived most of his life in Kirbyville and was a retired foreman with Trotti-Thompson Construction in Beaumont. He was also a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his sons, R.C. Hutchison and wife Sally of Kirbyville and Talmadge Hutchison and wife Sandra of Orange; daughters, Sue Whitten and husband Herman of Mauriceville and Judy Kirbow and husband Sammy of Kirbyville; daughter-in-law, Eugenia Whittaker of Kirbyville; brother, Jimmy Hutchison and wife Sue of Kirbyville; sisters, Idonia McKeithen and husband Eugene of Kirbyville and Inez Worley of Austin; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
ELIZABETH HAVARD KERR
Elizabeth Havard Kerr, 28, of Newton died Monday, June 29, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 3 at Faith Worship Center with burial at Sand Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
A longtime Newton County resident, she loved her family, especially her children and her cats. She enjoyed all music.
Survivors include her mother, Sherry Beth Havard of Newton; sons, Connor Stephen Kerr and Kasyn Bryce McAnally Havard, both of Newton; daughter, Hallie Elizabeth Kerr of Newton; sisters, Kim Havard Gibson and husband Charles “Bubba” of Newton and Candace Havard Mobley and husband Matthew of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her former husband Stephen Kerr of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, N.T. and Myrtie Havard, Myrtice Jean Love Evans and Obal Evans; her father, Clifford Ray Havard; and best friend, Jessie Smith.
