HELEN RUTH CLAUDE

Helen Ruth Claude, 82, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Kirbyville died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 22 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery.

A native of Port Arthur, she had lived in Kirbyville since 1946 before moving to Nacogdoches two weeks ago. She was a retired Tax Assessor Clerk for the Jasper County Tax Assessor’s Office in Kirbyville.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Claude of Nacogdoches; sons, Michael Claude and wife Jennifer of Nacogdoches and David Claude of Houston; sister, Ercalene Browing; grandchildren, Cody Claude, Courtney Claude and Whitney Arrant; and great-grandchildren, Sevin Claude and Dillon Arrant.

SHIRLEY WIGGS

Shirley Wiggs, 66, of Kirbyville died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 24 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery.

Born in Beaumont, she had lived most of her life in Kirbyville and was a bank teller at Community Bank in Kirbyville.

Survivors include her son, John Wiggs of Kountze; brothers, Elton Clakey and Thomas Clakey, both of Kirbyville and Calvin Clakey of Silsbee; sisters, Christine Laughlin of Nederland, Mozzell King of Tennessee Colony, Bobbie House of Frankston, Gerri Adair of Dayton, Mary Davis of Beaumont, Grace Miklas of Silsbee and Gloria Miller of Lumberton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
