| EARL MANING, SR.
Earl Manning, Sr., 94, of Buna passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at Avalon Place Nursing Home in Kirbyville under the care of Lakes Area Hospice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, March 17 at 5 p.m. and a rosary will be held at 7 p.m. at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
Earl was a retired pipefitter from Local 195. He lived in Buna for 60 years and loved to fish, hunt and farm. Most of all he loved to be around his friends and family telling stories of days past and comparing them to today's world.
Survivors include his children, Johnny Manning of Livingston, Carol Morgan and husband Greg of Buna, Chris Manning and wife Jamie of Ogden, Utah and Tony Manning of Austin; grandchildren, his pride and joy, Haylee Wolfford, Jordy Morgan, Killian Manning, Jacy Manning, Logan Manning, Matthew Manning, Ashlee Morgan and Gracie Manning; and two great-grandchildren.
RUBY LEE WALDRUP
Ruby Lee Waldrup, 97, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Kirbyville at the home of her daughter, Wanda Guillory, her caregiver, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 17 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Buna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Waldrup, Sr.; daughter, Mildred Waldrup; granddaughter, Linda Scott; and grandsons, Jimmy Scott and Mike Peyton.
Survivors include her children, Wilma Scott of Pineland, Mary Lavonne Burch of Evadale, Margie Peyton and Wayne of Beaumont, William Waldrup and Jerry of Buna, Wanda Guillory and Randy of Kirbyville and Prentice Waldrup and Alice of Kirbyville; 12 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one great-great-great-grandson.
CHARLIE ANN LEWIS TEAL
Charlie Ann Lewis Teal, 51, of Vidor died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at her home.
A native of Kirbyville, she was a resident of Vidor.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Teal of Vidor; son, Jerry Noland of Howe, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Shanly McDonald of Groves; father, Floyd Lewis of Kirbyville; brother, Charley F. Lewis, Jr. of New Boston; sisters, Brenda Baker of Silsbee and Jeanne Tidwell of Kirbyville; and six grandchildren.
GARY VICTOR BUFFINTON
Gary Victor Buffington, 51, of Buna passed away Saturday, March 12, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 16 at Genesis Baptist Church in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery in Buna under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
A native of Bastrop, Louisiana, he had lived in Buna 19 years and was an operator for Mead-Westvaco in Evadale.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Buffington of Buna; sons, Gary Waylon Buffington of Vidor and Adam Lee Buffington of Buna; daughter, Victoria Ann Buffington of Rayne, Louisiana; brother, Grover Lanet Buffington of Chopin, Louisiana; sisters, Gloria Bonner of Oak Grove, Louisiana and Merideth Sanders of Haynesville, Louisiana.
PAULA GRAY MCFADDEN LAMB CALHOON
Paula Gray McFadden Lamb Calhoon, 85, of Houston passed away Friday, March 12, 2010.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
Born in Hemphill on August 21, 1924 to Erve and Orie Cleveland McFadden, she was raised in Louisiana and McNary, Arizona.
She and her husband, Clarence Lamb, owned Lamb Brothers Grocery Store in Call Junction for 29 years. Several years after Clarence’s death in 1983, Paula married Branch Nixon Calhoon, a childhood friend from McNary, and moved back to Pinetop, Arizona. Nixon preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Stevelyn and Robert Buenger of Houston; grandson, Scott Willis and wife, Sabrina of Anchorage; great-grandsons, Stephen and Geoffrey, both of Anchorage; and step-grandson, Robert Buenger, Jr. of Chicago.

CHESTER SOLOMON WHITE
Chester Solomon White, 81, of Kirbyville passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 14 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with Masonic Graveside Rites at Kirbyville Cemetery.
Born October 1, 1928 to Everett J. White and Mirtis May (Brown) White, he was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
