CYNTHIA DEAN WARING HAGER
Cynthia Dean Waring Hager, 72, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center after a three-month battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs with burial at Mapledale Cemetery.
A native of Monroeville, Alabama, she was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs. She was a homemaker, who gave a lot of care giving and volunteer work in many areas. She was a very outgoing, friendly person who “never knew a stranger.”
Survivors include her husband, Buck Hager of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; daughter, Kellie Waring of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; sons, Joe Waring of Friendswood and Jack Waring of Crossett, Arkansas; stepsons, Mike Hager of Roanoke, West Virginia and Guy Hager of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters, Juanita McPhearson and Connie Ballard, both of Kirbyville; brother, Donnie McKenzie of Fairbanks, Alaska; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a special grand-nephew.
MICHAEL WARREN SPRADLEY
Michael Warren Spradley, 51, of Newton died Friday, May 22, 2009 at CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 30 at
Old Salem Baptist Church in Old Salem under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
A native of Beaumont, he grew up in Old Salem and had lived in Newton for 18 months. He was a Cross Country truck driver.
Survivors include his sister, Debra Fomby of Newton; and brothers, Ricky Spradley of Kirbyville and David Spradley of Newton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael Spradley Newton County Defibrillator Fund, P.O. Box 37, Newton, Texas 75966.
NAOMI JENKINS STONE
Naomi Jenkins Stone, 31, of Kirbyville died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23 at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
She was born April 20, 1978 in Kirbyville to Beth and Dan Jenkins. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dr. John T. Moore and her uncle William “Ed” Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Stone of Kirbyville; daughter, Brook Moffett of Kirbyville; sons, Edward Moffett and Justin Stone, both of Kirbyville; parents, Dan Jenkins and Beth Moore Jenkins of Kirbyville; brother, Robert D. Jenkins and wife Katie of Kileen; sister, Kim Williams and husband Bobby of Spring; grandmother, Stella Moore of Kirbyville; grandparents, Betty and Virgil Jenkins of Coldsprings; and mother and father-in-law, Lila and Dan Stone of Orangefield.
