ALICE BROOKS

Alice Brooks, 82, of Bleakwood died Monday, May 4, 2009 at her son’s home in Orange.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 7 at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Kirbyville. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Burial will be at Watson Chapel Cemetery in Bleakwood.

A native of Glendale, Oregon, she had lived in Bleakwood since 1977 and was a retired secretary with Newton High School.

Survivors include her son, Vincent Brooks and wife Myra of Orange; daughters, Vicki Cobb and husband Tim of Sugarland and Valerie Brown and husband D.C. of Bleakwood; sister-in-laws, Mildred Molley of Orange and Helen English of Bleakwood; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

BARBARA JORDAN

Barbara Jordan, 72, of Kirbyville died Monday, May 4, 2009 at CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6 at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

A native of Port Arthur, she had lived in Kirbyville since 1971.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth P. Jordan, Sr. of Kirbyville; sons, Kenneth P. Jordan, Jr. and wife Michelle of Kirbyville; daughters, Roxie Jordan of Kirbyville, Brenda Jordan of Kirbyville and Lisa Kim Hargrave and husband Robert of Orange; brother, Wesley Stone of Baytown; sister, Peggy King of Groves; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SKYLAR MALSON

Skylar Malson, 12, of Buna died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at his home.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, May 5 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.

A native of Temple, he had lived in Buna three years and was a sixth grade student in Buna.

Survivors include his parents, Helen and Virgil Malson of Buna; brother, Scott Richards; and sister, Lana Malson.
