DORIS ELLA BRACK
Doris Ella Brack, 71, of Roganville died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Oakwood Manor in Vidor.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial at Friendship Cemetery.
A native of Roganville, she was a longtime resident of Port Arthur. She and her husband L.C. retired to Roganville 25 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dascom and Oleta Brasher; and brother, Charles Brasher.
Survivors include her sons; Frank Brack and wife Nicole of Vidor, Ted Brack of Roganville and Jeff Brack of Mauriceville; brothers, Don Brasher of Roganville, Butch Brasher and Mike Brasher, both of Jasper; sisters, Marie Robinson and Artie Faye Day, both of Roganville, Elizabeth Johnson of Beaumont and Frances Jones of Jasper; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Friendship Cemetery or to Roganville Baptist Church.
CONNIE ADAMS OLDS
Connie Adams Olds, 44, of Kirbyville died Monday, November 9, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, November 11 at Gateway Tabernacle Church in Kirbyville under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Friendship Cemetery.
A native of Newton, she had lived most of her life in the Kirbyville/Jasper area.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Alyce Adams.
Survivors include her daughter, Courtney Peacher of Jasper; son, Marvin Olds, Jr. of Kirbyville; father, Alton Adams of Kirbyville; brother, Gary Adams of Normange; and four grandchildren.
JOE FELIX OSBURN
Joe Felix Osburn, 85, of Kirbyville died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 6 at Farmer’s Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial and Military Rites at Old Hardin Cemetery. Services were officiated by Brother Danny Benson.
A native of Neame, Louisiana, he was born to William Jonathan and Annie Belle (Landrum) Osburn on April 27, 1924. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired carpenter for Manhattan Construction Company. He was dedicated to serving the Lord and was a member of Vision Outreach Full Gospel Church in Bleakwood.
Pallbearers were Billy Nichols, Jimmy Coleson, John Paul Henley, James Watson, John Jones and Tommy Adams, all of which attend Vision Outreach Full Gospel Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Osburn; and son, Steve Allan Osburn.
Survivors include his daughters, Carol Martin and husband Joey of Kirbyville and Linda Pierce of Carthage; sons, Johnny Felix Osburn and wife Edith of Fairfield, Danny Ray Osburn and wife Margaret of Porter, Joe David Osburn and wife Marilyn of Kirbyville and Lucky Wayne Osburn and wife Melissa of Kirbyville; brothers, W.J. Osburn and wife Wilda of Big Sandy, Frank Osburn and wife Doris of Kirbyville, William Osburn of Kirbyville and Glenn Osburn and wife Elfriede of Denver, Colorado; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
