WARREN HENRY BOYD

Warren Henry Boyd, 53 of Old Salem died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in Orange with complications from kidney cancer.

 

Memorial services were held Saturday, September 26 at his mother's residence in Old Salem. Services were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Newton.

He was born on February 18, 1956 in Kirbyville and he worked for many years at Triple S, Conex and B & G Mowing Service.  He enjoyed hunting fishing and sitting under his oak tree.

He was preceded in death by his father, Horace William Boyd and his brother, Nathan Boyd.

Survivors include his wife, Crazy Carol Boyd of Old Salem; sons, James Douglas Boyd of Trout Creek and “Pooner” James Henry Boyd and wife Amy of Lakeview; daughters, Krystal Ann Boyd of Kirbyville and Michelle Barthelemy and husband David of Kirbyville; mother, Ruby Boyd of Old Salem; mother-in-law, Betty Manchac of Trout Creek; brothers, H. Edward Boyd and wife Theresa of Buna, Floyd Boyd and wife Dorothy Mattox of Springfield, Illinois, Tom Boyd and wife Cynthia of Old Salem, Carl Reed Boyd of Old Salem and John Boyd and wife Lynn of Kirbyville; sisters, Lorraine Green and husband Melvin of Old Salem, Rose Hamilton and husband Benton of Newton, Joyce Nichols and husband John of Old Salem, Florence Heard and husband James of Mauriceville and Dorothy Link and husband Tom of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren, Emily Faith and James Douglas Boyd Jr., Logan Gage Boyd and Melinda Lynn and Dawson Hunter Barthelemy; best friend, Paul Jackson of Trout Creek; and many nieces and nephews.

“RANDY”

Randall Calvin “Randy” Callahan, 57, of Buna died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 26 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Morse Cemetery.

A native of Orange, he had lived in Buna 33 years and was a rigger for DuPont.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Callahan of Buna; son, Mickey Callahan and wife Amy of Montgomery; daughter, Terri Lavergne and husband Joey of Buna; parents, Calvin and Nell Callahan of Orange; brothers, Ronnie Callahan of Palestine and Duane Callahan of Orange; sister, Debbie Morgan of Mauriceville; and four grandchildren, Jessi Lavergne, Ty Lavergne, Grace Callahan and Darby Callahan.

ROBERT EARL ISAACKS, SR.
“BOB”

Robert Earl “Bob” Isaacks, Sr., 78, of Buna died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 26 at Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with Military Graveside Rites to follow at Antioch Cemetery.

A native of Bessmay, he moved back to Buna 33 years ago.  He was a retired Tech. Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Alma Isaacks of Buna; daughter, Alma Jean Bailey of Beaumont; sons, Robert Earl Isaacks  and John Ray Isaacks, both of Buna; sisters, Vertie Faye Mullergon of Orangefield; Audrie Mae Whitmire of Evadale; and Bertha Jean Day of DeRidder, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

TINA MOODY KENNEDY

Tina Moody Kennedy, 47, of Kirbyville died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 27 at Central Baptist Church under the direction of Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Davis Cemetery in the Beulah Springs Community.

A native and lifelong resident of Kirbyville, she was a former teacher in the Kirbyville schools and was currently teaching in Newton.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Kennedy of Kirbyville; sons, Matthew Moody and wife Mindy of Woodville, Tyler Moody and wife Carrie of Lawton, Oklahoma and Matthew James Kennedy of Port Arthur; daughter, Samantha Marie Kennedy of Kirbyville; brother, Paul Pulliam and wife Cindy of Kirbyville; and four grandchildren.
