Livingston rambles past Lumberton

The Livingston Lions rode the back of Marquise Thompson’s four TD evening and rambled past the Lumberton Raiders 55-12 on Friday.

Thompson scored on runs of 30, 7, and 5 yards respectively plus caught a 6-yard pass for a TD to lead the Lions.

Josh Watson shined for the Raiders on the evening, scoring both TD’s for Lumberton on runs of 35 and 3 yards respectively. Watson finished with 113 yards on 17 carries for Lumberton.

Lumberton quarterback Andrew Manley went completed 6 of 15 passes with two interceptions for 79 yards.

Leading receivers for Lumberton were Dustin Ford with 28 yards on two receptions, Mason Dominique with 23 yards on one reception, Watson with 15 yards on one reception, Taylor Trahan with 10 yards on one reception and Garrett Bourque with three yards on one reception.

Livingston tallied with 568 total yards in the win led by Texas commit Chevoski Collins, who rambled for 175 yards on 11 carries to lead in the game. Thomas finished with 89 yards on 11 carries.

The Lions led 21-0 before Watson scored for Lumberton from 35 yards out.

Lumberton (0-7, 0-4 in Dist. 20-4A) will travel to Little Cypress-Mauriceville on Friday for a 7:30 kickoff.
