The Kirbyville City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 4 at 5:15 p.m. at City Hall.
The hearing is in regard to the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Rural Affairs for a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant. According to a legal notice provided by David J. Waxman, Inc., the purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan and the development of local housing and community development needs in Kirbyville. The meeting also allows citizens to discuss the amount of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities and the use of past TxCDBG funds.
The legal notice stated, “The City of Kirbyville encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TxCDBG application and to make their views known at the public hearing.”
Citizens who are unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to Mayor Lanette Hall. Persons with disabilities that wish to attend this meeting should contact the City Hall at 423-6191 to arrange for assistance. |
