A Lumberton man pled guilty in a plea bargain that will send him to prison for 15 years.
Michael Harlan Sutton, 27, pled guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a child by contact, each carrying a 15-year sentence, all to be run concurrently.
According to the arrest affidavit’s, Sutton engaged in sexual contact with two girls ages 14 and 15, on different occasions at his home in Lumberton.
The two girls were interviewed and took hand written statements from Hardin County DA investigator Dale Williford accounting the incidents in detail.
Sutton was indicted on two counts of indecency with a child with sexual contact and two counts of sexual assault of a child. Bond was set at $2 million with each count at $500,000.
Sutton was sentenced to the Texas Department of Corrections. |
