The Silsbee powerlifters fared well in a meet hosted by the Tigers at Silsbee High School on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Seth Adams was the lone first place varsity boys finisher at the meet in the SHW division after lifting a total of 1,295 pounds. He finished with 500 pounds in the dead lift, 450 pounds in the squat and 315 pounds in the bench press.

Ty Ligon finished in second place in the 242-pound division after lifting 980 total pounds. He finished with 415 pounds in the dead lift, 325 pounds in the squat and 240 pounds in the bench press.

Ehson Ghaboolian-Zare finished in second place in the 148-pound division with 745 pounds lifted. He finished with 310 pounds in the dead lift, 250 pounds in the squat and 185 pounds in bench press.

In the 181-pound weight division, Roderick Harper finished in the third place for Silsbee with a total of 1,115 pounds lifted. He finished with 470 pounds in dead lift, 395 pounds in squat and 250 pounds in bench press.

Ryan Kirkendall finished in fourth place in the division with 1,020 pounds lifted. He finished with 415 pounds in dead lift, 370 pounds in squat and 235 in bench press.

Elijah Miller finished in fifth place in the 181 division with 945 pounds lifted. He finished with 405 in dead lift, 315 in squat and 225 in bench press.

In the 198-pound division, Floyd Spearman finished in third place with 1,065 pounds lifted. He finished with 435 pounds in the dead lift, 385 pounds in the squat and 245 pounds in the bench press.

Jamarcus Myers finished in fourth place in the division with 1,005 pounds lifted. He finished with 425 pounds inthe dead lift, 345 in the squat and 235 in the bench press.

In the 220-pound division, Talon Weaver finished in fourth place with 905 pounds lifted. He finished with 350 pounds in the dead lift, 300 pounds in the squat and 255 pounds in the bench press.

Silsbee varsity boys finished in third place overall with 30 points. Little Cypress-Mauriceville and Orangefield finished in first and second places respectively.

In junior varsity boys, Fred Reppond finished in first place int eh 165-pound weight division with a total of 835 pounds lifted.

Hunter Lisenby finished in sixth place in the 165-pound weight division with 740 pounds lifted.

Trent Morgan finished in second place in the 220-pound weight division with 895 pounds lifted and Jacob Rachal finished with 695 pounds lifted in the 198-pound weight division for second place.

In varsity girls, three Silsbee girls finished tops in first place finishes.

Alejandra Avila, a transfer from Nederland, finished in first place in the 114-pound weight division with 825 total pounds lifted. She finished with 335 pounds in the dead lift, 340 pounds in the squat and 150 pounds in the bench press.

Katlin Kerl finished in first place in the 123 pound weight division with a total of 440 pounds. She finished with 200 pounds in deadlift, 150 pounds in squat and 90 pounds in bench press.

Anshawnique Morrisey dominated in the 220+ division with a first place and a total of 1,155 pounds lifted. She finished with 480 pounds in the dead lift, 425 pounds in the squat and 250 pounds in the bench press.
Lauren Gilbert finished in second place in the 220+ division with 515 pounds lifted. She finished with 250 in the

dead lift, 140 pounds in the squat and 125 pounds in the bench press.

Carley Jasken finished in fifth place in the 132-pound division with 365 pounds lifted. She finished with 150 pounds in the dead lift, 150 pounds in the squat and 65 pounds in the bench press.

Silsbee varsity girls finished in third place with 27 points.
