The Kirbyville Chamber of Commerce’s 51st Annual Chamber Banquet is this Saturday, February 21 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Kirbyville Community House.
The speaker for the banquet is County Judge Mark Allen. He will be sharing information on how the current financial crisis the nation is suffering can affect Jasper County.
This year’s theme is Mardi Gras and the menu consists of chicken and sausage gumbo, crawfish etouffee, coleslaw, king cake and beverage. The meal will be prepared and served by the chamber directors with some outside assistance.
The primary purpose of the banquet is to recognize and honor the leadership and special individuals in the community. The awards for Citizen of the Year, Youth Leadership, Organization of the Year and Business of the Year will be announced at the banquet.
