Big Thicket Memories through Folk Art

Kountze High School has organized a series of lectures and art/photography exhibits to promote the region, to outline current challenges, and to recognize conservationists. The programs will highlight the 50th Anniversary of the Big Thicket Association (BTA) and the 40th Anniversary of the National Park Service’s Big Thicket National Preserve. The first in the series was Big Thicket Memories through Folk Art featuring Hardin County Commissioner Ken Pelt.
