Funeral Services for Eleanor Catherine Batt Hamilton, 97, of St. Michaels, Arizona were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2014 at Farmer Funeral home with interment following at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation was from 12 until service time Friday at the funeral home. Mrs Hamilton was born September 23, 1916 in Parnell, Missouri. Mrs Hamilton was an educator for the Silsbee school district, a member of the First Methodist Church, the editor for the Henderson Daily News, raised Chihuahua show dogs, and she was chosen Volunteer of the Year at the Beechnut Manor nursing home. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Tilton Batt; her mother, Sarah Laverta King; and her husband, John Hamilton III. Survivors include sons, Richard Hamilton of Plano Texas and Kerry Hamilton of Manville Texas; daughters, Sarah Maines of St. Michael, Arizona and Lorna Hamilton Ward and husband Mike of Henderson Texas; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Mrs Hamilton will be greatly missed by all.
