Suspects sought in vandalism of Silsbee High School

Silsbee police and Silsbee High School officials are investigating vandalism that occurred on school property overnight.

Silsbee High School principal Don Muckleroy said that four individuals were caught on surveillance cameras at around 12:44 a.m. on Monday, gluing exterior door locks on the high school campus.

“They used Gorilla glue on every one of the doors,” Muckleroy said. “I was there at about 6:15 a.m. spraying acetone to eat up the glue.”

Muckleroy said they are investigating the surveillance video to deterimine the individual identies.

Acetone, or nail polish remover, is often used to release the adhesives in glue.

All the doors are back in operation and classes were not affected.

Silsbee police is following up on the investigation.
