When Tyke Cameron found out his 14-year-old basset hound needed surgery, it was all he could do to make sure Trooch was safe and sound. Cameron, who is Silsbee ISD technology director, got a helping hand from several young ladies at Silsbee High School when the unthinkable happened to Trooch. “He started to lose function of his hind legs before surgery,” Silsbee High School Equine Science teacher Rhett Moore said.
