Freddie M. Nelson 73, of Stone Mountain, Georgia; formerly of Silsbee, Texas; passed May 10, 2017. Services were May 17, 2017 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church 420 S. 10th St. Silsbee, TX. Visitation began at 9AM until funeral at 11AM. Interment was in Kirby Cemetery, Silsbee, TX. On May 4, 1944, Freddie Mae Brown Nelson, was born to the late Fred and Grace Brown of Silsbee, Texas. Freddie was the 4th child born to this union. She accepted Christ at a very young age under the leadership of Reverend C.W. Jones of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Freddie graduated from Waldo Mathews High School in 1962 furthering her education at Prairie View A&M University. In 1965, she was united in marriage to the late Tommy G. Nelson, Jr. From this union three beautiful daughters were born, Chandra, Tijuana (Tina), and Joanna. She is proceeded in death by her parents Fred Brown and Grace Brown, sisters Eloise Vonner and Lula Mae Cooper,and one brother Raymond L Brown. Freddie leaves to cherish her memories, her three loving daughters: Chandra Nelson, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Tijuana Jackson (Daniel), Stone Mountain, Georgia and Joanna Nelson, Arlington, Texas. Five grandchildren: Jourdan Renfro, Hope Alexander, Hannah Jackson, Gabrielle Jackson and Noah Gibbs. Sister-In-Law: Gloria Brown. Nieces and Nephews: Doretha Scurry, Glenn Cooper (Erma), Wanda Hall, Felicia Cooper, Ronnie Vonner (Shirley), JL Lawson, Larry Lawson and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Nelson's services have been entrusted to Proctor's Mortuary (Locations in Anahuac, Beaumont, Silsbee and Woodville, TX.) 409-267- 3122; "We Make The Difference".
