The drama surrounding the suicide of former Kirbyville High School principal Dennis Reeves has ratcheted to a new level, and the proverbial gloves have come off.

One week after Reeves’ wife, Tammy Reeves, obtained a temporary restraining order (TRO) to preserve evidence and seek the truth concerning details that led to her husband’s suicide in the school parking lot, the school district filed a court brief to release details from her text messages and social media.

The Bee confirmed that the law firm of Powell & Leon, LLP, is the counsel for Kirbyville CISD. Powell & Leon, which is in Austin, sent a press release Tuesday morning with a copy of the court brief filed with the 136th Judicial District Court in Jefferson County.

Jealousy and anger set the tone in this court brief that contains scathing accusations and name calling from Tammy Reeves to a former secretary of her husband, who claims they had an extramarital affair.
