Kountze woman files election complaint after city elections

Keith Ingram , Director of elections at the Secretary of States office has responded to a complaint filed by Cheryl Bean concerning the May 2017 election.

In the complaint, Bean alleged that among other things, Fred Williams, the mayor of Kountze was on site at the poling place for hours. She stated he “sat inside the building and was seen by a number of people.” Bean went on to say, “Fred never took the oath or signed in as required.”
