Many areas of county back to normal, but some are not

KOUNTZE – Nearly two weeks after Tropical Storm Harvey soaked the Southeast Texas region with a historic amount of rain, many parts of Hardin County are getting back to normal while others part is not.

This wasn’t the first hurricane or tropical storm to hit Hardin County since 2000. Hurricane Rita hit the area in September 2005 and Hurricane Ike in September 2008. But this was the worse.
