Kountze’s Penland Middle School students entered the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. Zoey Helgda submitted the winning poster titled “Peace Shared Through the World”. Her winning poster will be submitted to District 2S1 Lions Club for judging.

PVAC

Third graders at Read-Turrentine Elementary School were recently treated to a special visit from the volunteers of the McFaddin-Ward House. The students learned from the experts some of the finer points of good manners and etiquette by visiting three different hands-on stations. At one, they learned to write thank you notes, then practiced good table manners at the next station.
