Silsbee ISD gets school’s prelim preview

The Silsbee Board of Trustees met on Tuesday night and heard a presentation by Kevin Smith, the Architect for the new elementary school that is planned for Silsbee ISD. Smith is a member of Claycomb Associates, Architects firm from Dallas that are heading the project. The site plan calls for a new school to be located in the area between Laura Reeves School and Read Turrentine. The building will be located as far to the west on the lot as possible and one of the critical early developments will be to move the ditch that runs through the property as far east as possible on the lot.
