Banquet

During the annual Scholarship Banquet held at Lamar State College Port Arthur this week, the Port Arthur Higher Education Foundation presented a $50,000 matching grant to the LSCPA Athletics Department. The college’s athletics department has spent the past year collecting donations to meet the first $50,000 allotment from the PAHEF, which was presented by President Dr. Sam Monroe to LSCPA President Dr. Betty Reynard during Wednesday’s luncheon.

Kelsynn Jade welcomed home

Bradley and Holly Foster of Silsbee are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Kelsynn Jade, born at 8:58 a.m. November 29, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. The baby weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and measured 19 inches in length.

Wayne and Patsy Goff of Silsbee will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Monday, December 14, 2015. They were married December 14, 1965 in Beaumont, Texas. Wayne is retired from Gulf States Utilites/Entergy and Patsy is a housewife.

Chelsea and Keith Hoke of Evadale accept a trophy from Silsbee Fire official Jay Hinkie for earning second place in the Silsbee Lighted Christmas Parade. The Hoke family collaborated with the Christian family of Silsbee to create the float titled “The Evolution of Mickey”.
