Boys and Girls Club banquet on Saturday

The Boys and Girls Club of Hardin County will hold its annual Black Tie Banquet on Saturday at the First Assembly of God in Silsbee. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Silsbee Kirby Elementary held its final Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday.

The new elementary school is slated to open in August and pre-K and kindergarten classes will move to the current Laura Reeves campus.

Hardin County Camera Club

The Hardin County Camera Club met on May 3 at the First Baptist Church in Silsbee. E.J. Duvail showed everyone how to spotlight a subject with camera flashes. The monthly contest was “silhouettes”. The winners were: Gayle Stephens, first; Pake Johnson, second; Karen Mullins, third; and Lloyd Smith, honorable mention. The Hardin County Camera Club meets on the first Tuesday
of each month at 6:30 p.m.
