Lumberton teacher honored

In the school board meeting held last Thursday night, Lumberton ISD awarded five teachers with Teacher of the Year for each school. Lumberton High School Teacher of the Year Award was given to Judy Posey for her years of excellent teaching.

Members and guest of Silsbee Womans’ Club met Tuesday, August 11 for the annual ‘Kick Off’ Luncheon at First Baptist Church. The theme was ‘In the Jungle’ with Madonna Cupit and the Social Committee decorating. Everyone enjoyed salads and desserts.
