Motorcycle driver injured in crash

A 17-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on SH 327 west on Thursday. Tristian Fuller was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital via Air Rescue suffering from a severe leg injury.

Longtime Silsbee educator leaves lastingmemory

Longtime Silsbee educator and elementary principal Robbie Reeves, 55, lost her battle to illness early Monday morning according to Silsbee ISD Superintendent Richard Bain. Reeves had been battling cancer before succumbing this week from complications of the disease.

Longtime Kirby Elementary Principal Robbie Reeves lost her battle to cancer on Monday, leaving many heartbroken at Silsbee ISD. Kirby staff members organized a “Mini Relay For Life” for Reeves two years in a row, including the first in 2014 when she walked with fellow students.
