Bill Jasper

Funeral services for William "Bill" John Jasper, 74 of Silsbee were at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Baker Bell Cemetery in Fred. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Jasper passed away March 22 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. A native of Centralia, Illinois, Bill was a longtime resident of Silsbee. He owned Bill's Cycle and ATV. He is preceded in death by his father, John Oliver Jasper. Survivors include his wife, Jean Jasper of Silsbee; son, Jason Jasper and wife Paige of Buna; mother, Evelyn Jasper of Centralia, Illinois; sister, Betty Hawkins of Centralia, Illinois; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Devontray “Vont” Hadnot, 22, of Kountze, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Kountze High School in Kountze under the direction of Donald E. Coleman Funeral Home in Kountze. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. the day of service at the school. Survivors include his parents, Trozonya Warren and Marcus Boykin of Kountze; fiancee, Tiara Allen of Beaumont; children, Cody Bertrand and Journi Hadnot both of Beaumont and McKenzie Hadnot of Tom Ball; grandparents, Daisy Nell Warren and Henry Lee Jones of Beaumont and Michael Wayne and Elizabeth Oleta Hadnot of Kountze; sisters, Alexis Watler of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Tmia Hadnot, Tiyannah Hadnot, Skular Hadnot, Amari and Amoni Boykin, all of Kountze; and brothers, Michael Hadnot of Beaumont.

Ralph Bergstrom

Ralph Paul Bergstrom, 63, of Warren, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on April 29, 1953 in Port Neches to Velma Pauline Taylor and Ralph Lloyd Bergstrom. Survivors include his wife, Frances Elaine Shuart Bergstrom; children, Johanna Pratt and her husband, Justin, of Lumberton; Ashley Spurlock and her husband, Cody, of Silsbee; Ralph T. Bergstrom; and Charlie Bergstrom and his wife, Katrina, both of Warren; Grandchildren, Madison Pratt, Natalie Pratt, Alyssa Spurlock, Brayden Spurlock, Abby Bergstrom, Gracie Bergstrom, Hunner Bergstrom, and Raelynn Bergstrom; siblings, Robert Bergstrom and his wife, Debbie, of Port Neches; Carol Davenport and her husband, Joe; Peggy Harnden and her husband, Ben, both of Kingwood; James Bergstrom of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Muriel Williams

Muriel Williams, 85, of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Funeral service was Saturday, March 25 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. She was born in Rotherham, England and had lived in Lumberton 43 years. She was a Jehovah’s Witness missionary.

Mildred Faye Crain, 85, of Kountze, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Gladys Shoupe

Gladys Marie Anding Shoupe, 91, of Silsbee, died Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born on January 30, 1926, in Sugartown, Louisiana, Vernon Parish, to Elizabeth Welch Anding and Benjamin Franklin Anding. Survivors include her granddaughter, Raynine White Bordelon and her husband, Randy, of Lumberton; grandson, Garvis S. White, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Sour Lake; great-grandchildren, Brandi Campbell and her husband, Eddie, of Lumberton; Brittani Bordelon and her husband, Clint Mobley, of Jasper; Dean White of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Christopher Bordelon of Lumberton; great-great grandchildren, Mallorie Campbell, Aiden Campbell, Clint Micheal Bordelon, Ashlynn Mobley, and Hayleigh Mobley; and brother, Benny Anding of Orange. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Dean Shoupe; and daughter, Carolyn Sue Ray White. A gathering of Mrs. Shoupe’s family and friends was from 4:00 p.m.

Winnie Hall

Winnie Jones Hall, 87, of Silsbee, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Funeral service was Sunday, March 19 at Friendship Baptist Church in Silsbee with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, also in Silsbee. Born in Big Sandy, she worked at Hardin County NDI and she also received the Community Service Award from the Silsbee Chamber of Commerce on April 7, 1981. Survivors include her children, Jerry Jones and wife Sherlon, Suzanne Powell, V.L. “Rusty” Jones Jr, Rodgel Daugherty and husband Chris and Jeanie Harrison and husband Robert; and nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Earl Gillentine

Funeral services for Earl Ray Gillentine, 71, of Evadale, were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with a private committal for family only following. Visitation was from 12:00 p.m. Sunday until time of service. Mr. Gillentine passed away March 16, 2017 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. A native of Marshall, Earl was a life long resident of Evadale. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, worked for Air Comfort and proudly served his country in the US Army. Mr. Gillentine is preceded in death by his parents, William and Tommie Crone Gillentine; his wife, Janet Gillentine; and brother, Bobby Gillentine. He is survived by sons, Aaron Gillentine of Evadale and Jason Gillentine and wife Jennifer of Tyler; sisters, Barbara Robertson of Wills Point, Martha Morgan of Rockwall, Anita James of Canton, Lillian Gillentine of Edgewood and Nell Lilly of Canton; and grandchildren Brent and Natalie. Mr.

Sidney Ester

Funeral services for Sidney Wayne Ester, 80, of Silsbee were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Ester passed away March 18, 2017 at his residence in Silsbee. Sidney was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He was a retired painting contractor and musician. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Gladys Ester; brother, Richard Ester; and sister, Wilma Daly. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Ester of Silsbee; children Sidney, Mark, Wade, Troy, Shannon, Crystal, Lisa and Melissa; brother, Lynn Ester; sisters, Billie Cantlon and Gladys Anderson; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
