Kenneth Enloe

Kenneth Ray Enloe, 74, of Batson, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home after a brief illness. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, August 1) at Faith & Family Funeral Home in Batson with burial following at Guedry Cemetery, also in Batson. Born in Liberty, he was a graduate of Hull-Daisetta High School and attended Lamar University graduating with a degree in accounting. In 1970, he became manager of Guedry Cemetery and owner of Enloe’s Memorials. In 1978 he was appointed Justice of the Peace Pct 6 of Hardin County and retired after 32 years of service to the community. After retiring, he created an oversize load escort business in which he continued to travel until recently. He is preceded in death by his father, James A.

Ina Sue Cochran Rhymes

Ina Sue Cochran Rhymes, 78, of Jasper, Texas, fell asleep in death on July 20, 2018, at her home. She was born on November 20, 1939, on Crow Mountain near Pottsville, Pope County, Arkansas to Marvin Cochran and Mary Harrison Cochran. Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mervyn Cochran. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Littlejohn “Jack” Rhymes; three children, Susan Sparks and husband Terry, of Nacogdoches, Texas; Lewis Rhymes and wife Vicky, of Silsbee, Texas; and Leland Rhymes and wife Miriam, of Jasper, Texas; six grandchildren; Eric, Brian, Shelley, Hannah, Lacey, and Brittney; fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Cochran and Warren Cochran, of Atkins, Arkansas; and numerous friends and spiritual children. Sue was a faithful Jehovah's Witness for 56 years and she patiently helped countless individuals learn Bible truths.

Gail Ruth Ecosta

Gail Ruth Ecosta, 62, of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born on May 20, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois. Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, Joe Ecosta; children, Kelly Thompson and her husband, Eric, of Jacksonville, Florida; Bradley Ecosta of Colorado; Christopher Ecosta of Connecticut; and Cody Ecosta of Silsbee; and grandchildren, Savannah Flowers of Silsbee, Cole Harris of Jacksonville, Florida, and Jasmine Soto of Jacksonville, Florida. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ackerman. A gathering of Gail’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at R.S. Graveside service was Monday, July 23 at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont with a memorial service following at Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont. Survivors include daughters, Barbara “Bobbie” Vickers and husband Roy of Fredericksburg and Donna Rochford and husband Robert of Lumberton; son, Wayne Baker and wife Rachel of Texarkana, Arkansas; and four grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.

Donald Glynn Peavy, 77, of Lumberton, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home in Lumberton. Born in DeQuicy, Louisiana, he had lived in Lumberton for 42 years and retired from offshore in 2003 where he worked as an electrical engineer. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Peavy of Lumberton; sons, Keith Peavy and wife Jeannie of Lumberton and Mike Johnson of Mauriceville; daughter, Wanda Pender and husband Mike of Silsbee; sister, Diane Herrington of California and Margie Firth of Washington; and seven grandchildren and four great-grand children.
