Jordan Wilkins

Jordan David “J.D.” Wilkins, 59, of Evadale, died Monday, July 3, 2017. Funeral service was Friday, July 7 at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial following at Hardin Memorial Park in Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee. Born in Hearne, he worked as an electrical supervisor at WestRock in Evadale. He was employed by the paper mill for 38 years. Survivors include his wife, Rita Wilkins; children, Jason Wilkins and wife Leslie and Holli Farias and husband Roy, all of Evadale; mother, Lois Wilkins of Gause; sisters, Beverly Nigliazzo and husband Johnny of Hearne, Kay Rachui and husband Steve and Diana Choates and husbandRobert, all of La Porte and Jennifer Wilkins of CanyonLake; and two grandchildren.

Juanita Zeagler Colleps, 85, of Beaumont, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Altus Hospice in Beaumont. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 12) at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at Knupple Cemetery. Born in Jasper, she was a registered nurse. Survivors include her husband, Dale Colleps Sr. of Beaumont; sons, Dale Floyde Colleps Jr. and wife Leda and Glenn Manning Colleps, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister, Opel Hogan of Jasper; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Wiley Brown

Wiley Kin Brown, 73, of Silsbee, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, July 14 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of New York, he was a longtime resident of Silsbee and worked as a pipefitter at the WestRock Paper Mill in Evadale. Survivors include his son, J.W. Hester of Weatherford; step-son, Keith Albright of New Mexico; daughters, Evelle Jacks and husband Herbert of Silsbee and Tina Collier and husband Mike of Rochester, New York; stepdaughter, Kelly Williams and husband Les of San Angelo; brother, Paul Nickerson Jr. of Silsbee; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Gary Lee Carman, 66, of Silsbee, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at his home. Born in Mid County, Kentucky, he was a retired truck driver. Survivors include son, Brad Anthony Carman of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Lisa Carmen Millner of Clarksville, Tennessee; brothers, Darrel Carman of Magnolia and Phillip Allen Gray of St. Petersburg, Florida; and five grandchildren. No service is scheduled at this time.

Pauline Martin Freeman Redus, 91, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at her home. Funeral service was Saturday, July 8 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Born in Hicksbaugh, she was a lifelong resident of this area. Survivors include her sons, Ray Allen Freeman and wife Charlotte of Kountze, Henry Wayne Freeman and wife Betty and Kenneth Eugene Freeman Sr., all of Warren, Paul Mark Freeman of Village Mills and Howard Bruce Freeman and wife Lori of Warren; and 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Emily; children, Arthur Jefferson and Alisa Bocskovits; and two grandchildren.

Ann Saam

Ann Cawthon Saam, 73, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a school teacher in Silsbee for a number of years and most recently she worked at Titus County Soil and Water Conservation Department. Survivors include her husband, Steven Saam of Mount Pleasant; and brother, Wesley Arthur Cawthon of Fannett. A visitation was held Friday, July 7 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.
