Kathy Traylor

Kathy Lynn Traylor, 66, of Silsbee, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at New Bethel Baptist in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church on Saturday. Her love and memories will remain in the heart of her son, Tadarran Traylor of Silsbee; one brother, Tarrant Hawkins of Virginia; one grandchild, Avian Carter Traylor; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Cheryl Ann Stutzenburg, 68, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. She was born in Silsbee. Funeral service was Monday, June 4 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery, also in Silsbee. Survivors include son, Norman W. Nichols Jr. and wife Lora of Vidor; daughters, Kristi Nichols and Kimberly Anderson, both of Silsbee; brother, Donald Thomas and wife Dorothy of Houston; and seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Lawrence Emerson “Larry” Westhoven, 77, of Village Mills, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Tuesday, June 5 at Wildwood-Village Mills United Methodist Church in Village Mills with burial following at Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was a retired salesman with Taylor Surgical Supplies. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sandra Elizabeth Coss; children, Randall Westhoeven and wife Karen of Michigan, and Tammy Neumann and husband Brian and Scott Westhoven and wife Stella, all of Wildwood.

James Henson

James Dudley Henson, 77, of Lumberton, received his ultimate reward on Wednesday May 31, 2018 when he passed from this life. He was born to William and Ella Henson December 22nd, 1940 in Vidor, Texas. James was easy going and loved to play bingo. You always knew where you stood with James, he was an honest man. Fishing was more than a hobby for James, he loved it, especially salt-water fishing. He also enjoyed hunting, when he was able to go.

Memorial service for Susan Lorayne Briard Taylor, a ten year resident of Spurger, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Cathedral Church in Beaumont. Sue, originally from Nebraska, was born December 29,  950 and died March 20, 2018 at Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin. She is survived by her husband, Steve of Spurger; and two children, Paul Behrens of Macon, Georgia and Sara Campbell of Killeen, Texas.

Born in Montgomery, Alabama, he was a United States Army Vietnam War veteran and he was a retired millwright with Huntsman Chemical in Port Arthur. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon Smith of Evadale; children, Jeff Smith and wife Linda of Pearland, Shellie Miller and husband Ron of Cedar Park, Sherrie Colca and Haythem Dawlett of Lakeway and Shannon Lea and husband Greg of Evadale; sisters, Shawn and Rick Caddell of Evadale; Kathy Stines and husband Jim of Alvin and Martha Whitsitt of Evadale; and ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
