Bobby Adams

Bobby Lynn Adams, 72, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday,April 25 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, also in Beaumont. A native of Vidor and a longtime resident of the area, he was a United States Army veteran and had worked 12 years for the BeaumontWater Department. Survivors include his wife, Clair Adams of Lumberton; son, John Adams and wife Angelique of Beaumont; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ralph Osborne

Ralph R. “Ozzie” Osborne, 65, of Orangefield, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Tuesday, April 22 at Bridge Point Fellowship in Bridge City with burial following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. A native of Port Neches, he was a peace officer having retired from Hardin and Orange County Sheriff’s Department and worked for many years as a DJ. He was currently a peace office for Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. He was a Shriner and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a United StatesAir Force Vietnam veteran. Survivors include his wife, Norma Osborne; son, Ralph Osborne II and wife Shanna; daughters, Stacie Osborne, Shan Myers and husband Hoyt and Kelli Houghton and husband Daniel II; siblings, Mollie Osborne, Larry Osborne, Freida DeLaney, and Doyle Osborne; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Joy Stokes

Joy D. Stokes, 97, of Kountze, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at CalderWoods in Beaumont. A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 22 at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island under the direction of Broussard’sMortuary in Kountze. Anative of Gary, she was a retired payroll clerk with Atlantic Richfield in Port Neches. Survivors include her sister, Billie Spinks of Houston; daughter-in-law, Annette Stokes of Honey Island; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Edith Richards

Edith Elizabeth Richards, 74, of El Dorado, Arkansas, died on April 14, 2014 at Life Touch's John R. Williamson Hospice House following a brief illness. Born on August 12, 1939 in Evadale, Texas, she was the daughter of Homer E. and Audrey Ellen Griffis Day. A homemaker, Edith was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Calvin, Van and Travis Day; and her sisters Mattie Bee Rogers, Wilma Clay, Inez Kelley, Betty J. Day and Faye Mc Cullough. Survivors are a daughter, Regina "Tina"Winget (Bobby) of El Dorado; a son, Gregory Richards (Rita) of Evadale; brothers, Homer Edward Day Jr. (Lou) of Buna and Willie 'Bud" Day (Verda) of Vidor; a special friend, Laura McGallion of Silsbee; along with 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family in Texas. Cremation services were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.

Mary Martin

Funeral services for Mary Astle Martin, 95, of Silsbee were at 2 p.m. Tuesday,April 22, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation began at 12 p.m. Tuesday before service. Mrs. Martin passed away April 19, 2014 at her residence in Silsbee. Mary was a native of Haven, Kansas and a long time resident of Silsbee. She was a beautician and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hazel Astle; husband, Earl R. Martin; two brothers and one sister. Survivors include son, Randy Martin and wife Kathy of League City, Texas; grandchildren Mike Martin of Silsbee, Chris Martin and wife Audrey of Silsbee, Randi Martin of Grand Rapids, MI,Alex Priebe and wife Kristin of Friendswood, Tx and Rhonda Harvey and husband Rob of League City, Tx; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services for Theresa Ann Darwish, 60, of Houston were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation was from 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday. Mrs. Darwish passed away April 18, 2014 at Courtyard Convalescent Center in Houston. Theresa was a native and longtime resident of Silsbee before moving to Houston. She was an active member of Air Way Baptist Church where she was over decorations. She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel David Pate; and brothers, Allen Pate and Clint Pate. Survivors include daughter, Amy Marine Darwish of Pearland and mother, Joe Ann Bridges Pate of Pearland.

Eugenia Clark, 78, of Kountze, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 23) at Broussard’sMortuary in Kountze with burial following in Old Hardin Cemetery, also in Kountze. She was a native and lifelong resident of Kountze. Survivors includeAlbert Clark, her husband of 62 years; daughters, Angela Cherry of Kountze and Lydia Morse of Wildwood; sisters, Nellie Kayla of Winnie and Elmyra Clark and husband Lawrence of Port Bolivar; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
