Dale Briley

Mr. Dale C. Briley, age 63, of Silsbee, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Beaumont, Texas. Services were at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation was on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Briley was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 8, 1950. He lived to be a husband, father, paw paw and friend. The profound footprint left behind will be eternally cherished and forever missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.G.”Josh” and Emilee Briley. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marian Briley of Silsbee, Texas; two daughters, Racheal Briley and her husband Rob Gibbs and Jessica Rae Burkett and her husband Arwin Burkett, Jr. and two grandchildren, Rian Zamora and Ethan Dale Burkett. Lillian Howard

Lillian Marie Howard, 88, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Hunble. Funeral service was Saturday, March 22 at Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Lumberton under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, also in Beaumont. She had lived in Lumberton 37 years and had been a resident of Collier Park the past three years. Survivors include sons, Dennis Recla of Grant Pass, Oregon and Aubrey “Joe” Howard of China; daughter, Connie Barreto of Porter; and eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

HaroldWayne Harrison, 63, of Kountze, died Saturday, March 22, 2014. Funeral service was Monday, March 24 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze with burial following in Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. A native of San Saba, he was a United States Navy Vietnam veteran and retired with Sun Oil Company in Sour Lake with 31 years service. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Harrison; daughters, Angela Harrison of China and Haley Cassidy of Belgrade, Montana; stepsons, Casey Berman of Waterfall, Illinois, Chad Bergman of St. Louis, Missouri, and Cody Bergman of Ruma, Illinois; brothers, Lester Harrison of Brenham and Clark Harrison of Wortham; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday,March 26) at the funeral home. Survivors include sons, Walter Cherry and wife Dale Ann of Evadale, John Cherry of Tyler, and Mickey Cherry and wife Connie and Joe Cherry and wife Janet, all of Buna; daughters, Ann Flanakin and husband Rusty of Silsbee, Laura Luxton and husband Sam of Florida, Janice Bevil and husband Kendal of Port Neches and Sarah Cherry of Korea; sisters, Edith Langlois and Evelyn Taylor, both of Memphis, Tennessee; and 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Curtis Callaway, 85, of Silsbee diedMarch 20, 2014 at his residence. Born in Fred, Curtis was a long time resident of Silsbee. He was founder of Callaway’s Auto Repair. Mr. Callaway loved baling hay. Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Callaway; parents, Curtis ‘Ruddle’ Garland Callaway and Ada Sirmons Callaway; son, Larry Callaway; and brother, J.R. Callaway. Survivors include sons, Michael Callaway and Steve Callaway and wife Charlotte Sue, both of Silsbee; daughter, Debra Callaway Davis and husband Emmett of Silsbee; sister, ShirleyMorris and husband Bernard of Silsbee; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Kountze and a longtime resident of Spurger, he was a self-employed carpenter by trade. Survivors include his mother, Pearl Landry Tucker; son, David Michael Hopson of Spurger; daughters, Cynthia Manis of Buna and Doris Wilson of Spurger; sister, SandraMobley of Silsbee; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
