Johnnie Harrington

JohnnieAnena Harrington, 89, of Lumberton, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A native of Brookeland and a longtime resident of the Lumberton/Voth area, she worked as a dietary supervisor for Baptist Hospital. Survivors include sons, William Victor Harrington of Lumberton and Samuel Allen Harrington and wife Deidra ofBeaumont; daughters, Susan Anena Snider and husband Jerry of Beaumont and Darcy Marie Pennypacker of Lumberton; sisters, Ruth Brammer and Eleanor Marsiglia, both of Lumberton and Yvonne Jordan of Silsbee; and 16 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren and five greatgreat-grandchildren.

Mary Turner

Funeral services for Mary Frances Turner, 76, of Lumberton were at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Cunningham Cemetery, also in Silsbee. Visitation was from 3:30 until 4:30 the day of the service. Mrs. Turner passed away at Trinity Rehab and Retirement Center in San Augustine. She was a native of Silsbee, a loving mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her father, Wilburn Eddings. Survivors include fiance’ Royce Thompson of Lumberton; sons, Steven Norman, Edward Norman, Floyd Norman, Sammy White, Leslie James, and Jesse James; daughters, Franchesca Maricle and Tabitha Norman; brother, Melvin Eddings; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service was Tuesday, May 13 at Fred Pentecostal Church in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Fred Community Cemetery in Fred. A native of Kountze and a longtime resident of Silsbee, she was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband William Walters of Silsbee; son, Michael Davis and wifeAngie of Kountze; mother, Virginia Cravey of Silsbee; sister, Tina Hutto of Fred; and three grandchildren.

Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. SundayMay 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Mr. Doggett passed awayMay 8, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Kountze and a longtime resident of Silsbee. He worked in the construction field and was a veteran of the United States Army. Billy is survived by his parents, Ruben and Carolyn Doggett of Silsbee; daughters, Briana Doggett and Savannah Doggett both of Silsbee; and sisters, Marla Hulet of Fannett and Keri Arrington of Silsbee.

Memorial service for Joshua Robert Jeffcoat, 32, of Silsbee was at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home. Mr. Jeffcoat passed away May 9, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Joshua was a native of Palestine and a long time resident of Silsbee. He worked in construction. He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Keith Jeffcoat; grandparents, Charles and Delores Davis, Reagan Jeffcoat and Alice Jeffcoat. Survivors include mother, Delores Jeffcoat of Silsbee; son, Tanner Robert Jeffcoat of Lumberton; sister, Ashley Jeffcoat of Silsbee; nephew, Easton Lane Cotton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Freddie Smith

Freddie Lawrence Smith, 79, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Funeral service was held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at First Baptist Church Loeb in Lumberton under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont with burial following in benezer Cemetery in Colmesneil. A native of Jonesville, Louisiana, he was a United States Army Ranger veteran. After 47 years as a full-time and part-time Church Choral Director, and 17 years as Beginner Band Director, he retired in 2001. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Nancy Hanks Smith of Lumberton; daughter, Janci Smith Kimball and her husband Thad; son, Craig Lawrence Smith and his wife Susan; stepdaughter, Tammy Daniel; stepson, Danny Daniel and his wife Tracy; and ten grandchildren.
