Jewel Pearline Herrington Boyett, 71, of Kountze, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Funeral service was Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze with burial following in Old Hardin Cemetery, also in Kountze. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Mitcham and husband Dickie, Shannon Anderson and husband Travis and Tami Simon and husband Kevin, all of Kountze; sisters, LaQuita Verde and husband Sam of Port Neches, Betty Renken and husband Slim of Kountze, FrancesMalone and husband M.C. of Liberty and Barbara Read and husband Bill of Liberty; brother, James Herrington Sr. and wife Johnnie of Hardin; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Betty Mitchell

Betty Jean Mitchell, 79, of Vidor, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 26 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Kountze with burial following in Holland Cemetery, also in Kountze. A native of Saratoga, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Survivors include sons, Larry Dale Mitchell and Michael LeeMitchell, both of Lumberton; daughters, Deborah Kay LeBouef of Lumberton and Donna Lynn Parker and Marie Rogers and husband Robert, all of Vidor; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Michael Wayne Bateman, 65, died Thursday, November 20, 2014. Survivors include his wife, Karen Bateman of Silsbee; daughter, Stephanie Walker and husband Joey of Santa Fe; son, Michael Bateman and wife Jennifer of Tampa, Florida; stepdaughters, Cathy Young of Dayton and Karen Diehl of Dayton and Danielle Reese of LaPort; stepson, Nicholas Goodman of Minnesota; sister, Sherry L. Bourgeois of Louisiana; brother, Stephen P. Bateman of Louisiana; and four grandchildren and 12 step grandchildren. No funeral service was held.

Donald Ward

Funeral services for Donald Lee Ward, 73, of Silsbee will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Ward passed away November 22, 2014 at his residence. Donald Lee was a lifelong Silsbee resident. He owned Ward’sWaterWell Service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Mayme Ward. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Jo Ward of Silsbee; daughters, Valecia Ann Vanderlick and husband Luc of Jamison, Pennsylvania, and Sophia Leigh Lewis and husband John of Silsbee; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Frenchie Leroy Gore

Funeral services for Frenchie Leroy Gore, 68, of Buna were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation was Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Gore passed away November 19, 2014 at Baptist Hospital. He was a native of Galveston and a longtime resident of Buna. He worked nationally and internationally as an Instrumentation Design Engineer. Mr. Gore proudly served his country in the US Navy. Mr. Gore is preceded in death by his parents, Frenchie and Verna Nethery Gore. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Gore of Buna; sons, Steve Gore and wife Tina of Lobelville, Tennessee and Jason Gore and Lyn of Buna; daughter, Robin Burk and husband Johnny, Jr of Conway, Arkansas; brother, Paul Gore of Silsbee; sisters, Linda Daugherty, Margie Crow and Shirley Whitney, all of Silsbee; grandchildren Emily and Caitlyn Gore, Sam and Lindsey Burks, Ethan Gore and Barry McCollough.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy JeanWilliams of Lumberton; daughter, Angie Harwell of Lumberton; sons, Cody Williams and Joshua Harwell, both of Lumberton, Josh Mumpower of Virginia, and Dustin Harwell of Lumberton; parents, Cecil and Carolyn Cook of Vidor; sister, Denise Cook Robertson; brothers, Cash Williams and Jake Williams, both of Florida; and six grandchildren.
