Raymond Lewis Rigsby, 61, of Woodville, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home in the Moss Hill Community. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Moss Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Woodville under the direction of Donald E. Coleman Funeral Home in Kountze with burial following in Moss Hill Community Cemetery, also inWoodville. Survivors include daughters, TiberiaAtkins ofMt. Enterprise, Meanca Rigsby and Keshia Rigsby, both of Woodville, Deanca Rigsby of Dallas, and Stephania Clegg and husband Chris of Nacogdoches; sons, Jabari Rigsby and wife Martha, Tomaca Rigsby and wife Tadesha, and Raynond Rigsby Jr., all of Woodville; sister, Irene Hartsfield and husband William of Newton; and brothers, Rev. Donald Rigsby, Rev. Robert Simmons, and Johnny C. Hadnot, all of Woodville, Edward Rigsby and wife Florence of Beaumont and Johnny Rigsby of Jasper.

Bobby Ray Moddon, 57, of Kountze, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7 at North Side Church of God in Christ in Kountze under the direction of Donald E. Coleman Funeral Home, also in Kountze with burial following in Trinity Valley Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Survivors include his sister, Vickie Moddon Davis of Buna.

Barbara Ann Eason

Barbara Ann Eason, 57, of Town Bluff died Friday February 21, 2014. She was born on October 21, 1956 in Kountze to Lola Mae Peavy and “Cat” Eason. Survivors include her children: Dewey Ray Eddins and his ex-wife Miranda Page Sheffield and Amanda Harris Frankum and her husband Terry. Grandchildren include: Taylour Janelle Russell and her husband Roger Dale Russell, Ty Jacob Eddins, and Macey Lynn Frankum. Great-grandchild Jerzi Rae Russell.

Larry Eugene Hoke, 66, of Kountze, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014. Funeral service was Sunday, Feb. 23 at Broussard’sMortuary in Kountze with burial following in Votaw Cemetery in Votaw. A native of Silsbee and a longtime resident of Kountze, he retired from Victory Temple in the maintenance department. Survivor include his wife, Cathy Hoke; daughter, Shannon Ridge and husband Jim of Thicket; son, Gerald Hoke and wife Lorrie of Kountze; sister, Betty Manning of Buffalo; brothers, C.D. Hoke of Buna, James Hoke, Tim Hoke and Robert Hoke, all of Silsbee and William Hoke of Missouri; and seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

James Tucker

James Andrew Tucker, 67, of Kountze, died Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 22 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Holland Cemetery in Kountze. A native of Caney head and a lifelong resident of Hardin County, he retired from Southern Pacific Railroad as a carman welder. He owned Triple T Sporting Goods in Kountze for many years before retiring a second time. He was a United States Army Vietnam War veteran. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sondra Jean Jasper Tucker of Kountze; son, Bradford Tucker and wife Renee of Azle; daughters, Cindy Baker and husband Steve of Kountze and Beckie Brown and husband Bubba of Sour Lake; brother, Danny Tucker and wife Bonnie of Buna; sister, Gail McGraw of Silsbee; and 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Maxie Davis

MaxieMalone Davis, 85, of Silsbee, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at First Pentecostal Church in San Augustine with burial following in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee and again from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. A native of San Augustine, Maxie was a long time resident of Southeast Texas. He was owner of Davis Tree Experts, founded in Beaumont in 1949. Survivors include sons, Tommy Davis and wife Marie, Mack Davis and wife Lisa, Rodney Davis and wife Brenda, all of Vidor and Daniel Davis and wife Lori of San Augustine; daughter, Martha Louviere and husband Robert of Silsbee; brothers, Jessie Gene Davis and wife Minnie of Tennessee and Floyd Davis and wife Rose “Polly” of SanAugustine; sister, Maudene Jacobs and husband Bill of San Augustine; and nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
