Eunice Kuritz

Funeral services for Eunice Marie Hollyfield Kuritz, 90, of Hillister were at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation was from 12:00 pm Sunday until the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Kuritz passed away April 3, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Silsbee and was self-employed. Mrs Kuritz is preceded in death by her parents, Hannon  and Mary Moss Hollyfield; and husband, Ervin Kuritz. Survivors include sons, Jerry Kuritz and wife Liz of Houston and Timothy Kuritz and wife Patsy of Crowley; daughters, Barbara Richardson and husband John of Hillister and Marilyn Blanchette and husband John of Shawnee, Kansas; sister, Sarah Hollyfield of Silsbee; and fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren

Charles Swearengin

Charles Ray Swearengin, 86, of Lumberton, died Monday, April 7, 2014. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday,April 9) at the funeral home. A native of Vivian, Louisiana and a former longtime resident of Nederland, he retired from Mobil Chemical in Beaumont with over 30 years service. He was a United States NavyWorldWar II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Betty; children,Martha Selensky and husband Jacob of Beaumont, Mike Swearengin and wife Shawnda of Cabot, Arkansas and Susie Biri and husband Todd of Bridge City; step-daughter, Kim Clark and husband Rob of Houston; and ten grandchildren.

Joshua “Josh” Dexter Fillingim, 30, of Broadus, died Sunday, April 6, 2014. Funeral service was Tuesday, April 8 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. A native of Galveston, he worked in construction. Survivors include his father, William Dexter White of Angleton; and grandparents, Robert and Lee White of Broaddus.

Rhonda Lynn Talbot, 50, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014. A native of Houston, she was manager of Motel 96 in Silsbee. Survivors include her children, StephenMcDougald and wife Casey of Warren, Brandon Wolcott of Silsbee and LaurenWolcott Camacho and husband Brandon of Beaumont; sisters,MaryMoyers of League City and Julie Hudson of Washington; and one grandchild. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Her committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont.

Funeral services for Debra Lynn Crain, 55, of Silsbee were at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Crain was a native of Palestine and a longtime resident of Silsbee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyndell Ray and Mary Beth SilvaWhiteside. Survivors include husband, Larry Crain Sr. of Silsbee; sons, Danny Ray Schauer Jr. and Larry Jerome Crain Jr., both of Silsbee; daughters, Misty Lynn Pizano of Beaumont, MichelleWarren of Alabama, Bethany Crain of Silsbee, Crystal Prejean of Illinois, and Amy Lou Crain of Silsbee; sisters, Carol Martin of Silsbee, Charlotte Martinez of Patterson, Pamela Whiteside of Livingston, Kimberly Whiteside of Tomball; and eighteen grandchildren. Mrs Crain will be greatly missed by many.

Franklin Gilchriest

Funeral services for Franklin Dow Gilchriest, 55, of Fred were at 4:30 p.m. Sunday March 30, 2014 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation began at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He passed away March 28, 2014 at his residence in Fred surrounded by his family. Frankie was born in Kountze and was raised in Fred and was a longtime resident of Beaumont. He graduated from Warren High School in 1977 and had been employed with Entergy for 34 years. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his parents, Arthur Gerald and Betty Jean Odom Gilchriest of Fred; sisters, Geraldine Davis and husband Roger and Martha Willis and husband Greg, all of Fred; niece, Jessica Hooks; nephews, Mitchell Hooks,Matthew Hooks, Gary Davis and Daniel Davis; and a host of family and friends.
